Kitty Smaugust day 30: wings
I want to draw your cats as dragons, using the Smaugust prompts by @pencilcat as inspiration, and I’m making a different post for each day and its prompt. If it’s 30 August 2022 anywhere in the world, you can make a request on this post. (If it’s no longer that date, but it’s still August 2022, check here for my list of prompts and their posts.) Reblog this post, and add in a photo of your cat and the cat’s name, and I will draw that cat as a dragon, using the current day’s prompt (shown in the title; so for today, “wings”) as inspiration.

- Once you’ve made a request here, wait until I’ve drawn and posted it before making another request; this ensures that everyone has a chance, while not putting arbitrary limits on stuff if it’s a slow day. (I realize that stuff associated with this prompt can be a common squick, so unless explicitly told otherwise, I’ll go extremely tame on the “fungus” aspect of the design, like on the level of “dragon tending a mushroom garden or eating mushroom pizza”, or possibly “wearing a hat that looks like a mushroom cap”, but no further.)

NADDPOD Eldermourne fanart. This is from when they went to the temple and saw the fairy season mural. The way Murph described the seasons changing as you go along the wall was so pretty, I just had to try drawing it.
This is also my biggest art that I’ve personally done, so I uploaded it and then uploaded separate pictures of each part, since most sites don’t love super wide pictures.

I’m reblogging again because I did it myself and added pictures for those who have trouble learning from the video.
First take a standard rectangular piece of paper (I used one from a small notebook which I ripped out then cut the holes off)
Then fold in half touching the shorter side to the opposite shorter side.
Fold again making the new shorter side touch the other new shorter side
I did this one more time, but this time I unfolded it right after to get back to where it was only folded twice. It should have left a crease in the paper.
Using this crease, fold the corners up alongside it to look like this
This are also going to be unfolded, but this time you’re going to push in alongside the triangular folds you just made and undid.
Doing this once will result in this
