fictional men who have the “it’s okay to murder people but it’s never okay to disrespect women” energy>>>>>>>>
The Meeting on The Turret Stairs, by Frederick William Burton, redrawn as Kastle
Original art this is based off of under the cut, along with my taglist
“I wish there could have been more of Karen and those two together. If there’s one person in this world that I think that has the fortitude to handle anything Frank’s got to give, and vice versa — I mean, they’ve both been to some dark and ugly places, but it’s nothing either one of them can’t handle, and they truly accept each other for who they are. I think if there’s one person he could really connect with, it would be her.” - JON BERNTHAL
For the made up title fic thing, I have one for a Kastle fic (that I never writed) it's called "The Sunshine Within"
Oooh, I love this, it could go sentimental, it could go angst--it has THE RANGE
My made up fic for this title would be "the first time Karen sees Frank smile unironically about something other than a memory."
send me a made-up fic title and i'll tell you what i would write to go with it
Americans, vote like your life depends on it because if this bill passes it literally will. They’re straight up trying to make it legal to arrest people for existing as LGBT.
If any of your sneering people think “Oh, it’s just the transsexuals; no one cares”, I guarantee you that once they strip rights from us, they’ll just move on up to the next group on the hierarchy, because that is and always has been how fascism works.
The bill being discussed here is H.R.9197 and it goes farther than is being described. This bill isn’t a prelude, it in and of itself tries to, effectively, ban “sexual material” from being viewed by someone under the age of 10. “sexual material” which it defines as anything pertaining to”Any depiction, description, or simulation of sexual activity, any lewd or lascivious depiction or description of human genitals, or any topic involving gender identity, gender dysphoria, transgenderism, sexual orientation or related subjects“. This is an outright assault on all of us in the LGBT community and beyond that would ban us from existing in spaces where children would be expected to be present, or attempting to teach children that we exist so they don’t suffer like many of us did and don’t cause others to suffer.
Do not undersell the seriousness of this bill.
The language of this bill is broad enough that someone could also just invoke it against a display of married heterosexuality if they felt offended enough by it, and you know their reason would really be because of the race or religion involved. There are also already court cases in recent history in which someone’s clothing was deemed inherently “sexual” because it showed cleavage or midriff so this bill could conceivably be used to accuse anyone of being corruptive or grooming by even just not dressing modestly enough to satisfy some bible humper. You shouldn’t need these additional scenarios to be disgusted by it but that is how loosely applicable and utterly deranged it really is.
“But I don’t see this on my ballot!”
This is a bill in congress, the way you vote against this is to VOTE DEMOCRAT* for both THE HOUSE AND SENATE.
“But I don’t like my democrat–”
You like them more than this bill and you will vote for them because that is how percentages work and a 51+% against this bill will only happen if you vote for a candidate capable of winning a seat in order to vote in the first place.
* the one exception to this is, if you have a progressive third party incumbent in your district who has BEEN ELECTED PREVIOUSLY. Some cool new guy might be ok, if they have outstanding showing in the polls, but even that’s a gamble on very serious stakes.
what? i mean, what do you -- what do you think’s gonna happen? we’re not gonna win this thing. no, but we can still reduce the charges? look, that might not be important to you, but it is important to me!

No idea why OP didn't include a link, here it is (link is to bill description, link to bill text is on the page):
Also, to be clear, this bill also establishes a precedent of equating all discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity as "sexually explicit."
My arthritis fingers are fucking killing me so if someone would be able to add an alt text, I can't today, but here are some annotated screenshots of rep. Johnson's (R-Louisiana) description of the bill for his website, too:
Flood your congressmen with calls to publicly condemn this legislation in every state, and if you have a congressman who is sponsoring it, find out who their democratic competitor is and call and find out what you can do for their campaign or how to donate.
If we leave this unchallenged even if this bill fails, the entire Republican party, even the "moderates," will realize they can get away with this if they keep trying. That cannot be allowed to happen.
Karen Page Appreciation Week
↳ Day 6: Romantic Pairing
It's Kastle all the way for me. Jon and Deb have such amazing chemistry, and it would be a shame for that to go to waste. Plus, Frank treats Karen way better than M*tt ever did. M*tt cheats on her while Frank buys her flowers. It's a no brainer for me. And Frank looking at Karen like she's the most precious thing in his world 😭 😭 😭
Karen Page Week 2022 Day 6: Romantic Pairing
Karen Page and The Punisher was arguably an unlikely pair. But their chemistry was undeniable. And as the story progressed their bond made more and more sense. They both lost people they loved. They both believe in vengeance and have settled their scores themselves. And maybe they see a little bit of themselves in each other. Sometimes things, people, relationships are not perfect but they just click together in the most unlikely ways.
“I would go as far to say that Karen is fascinated by Frank Castle and what he means and what he represents, because in some ways he represents her.” - Deborah Ann Woll
You’re unhinged, Frank. You are. You think God made you a one-man firing squad.

I haven’t seen this on my dash so here it is. The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill codifying same-sex marriage and it is now going to the Senate where there really is an actual chance of it passing. Sure, there are assholes who won’t support it, but there are Republican senators willing to support it and we need their support to get this passed. If you live in a state with a Republican senator, please call the senate office telling them that as a constituent, you support same-sex marriage and the Respect for Marriage Act.
The following senators are reported to be undecided, if one of these senators is yours, CALL!!!
Richard Burr, North Carolina
Roy Blunt, Missouri
Mike Braun, Indiana
Joni Ernst, Iowa
Cynthia Lummis, Wyoming
Rand Paul, Kentucky
Mitch McConnell?, Kentucky (yeah, I’m shocked the evil undead gizzard demon is in the undecided category as well but…might as well pressure the fucker)
Mitt Romney, Utah
Mike Rounds, South Dakota (specifically Mr. Rounds is quoted as acknowledging difference between a religious marriage and a legal one, go ahead and specify that you support granting couples the legal rights and protections that are given with a legal marriage)
Rick Scott, Florida
Dan Sullivan, Alaska (notably, Mr. Sullivan is quoted to recognize and respect the existing Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage! Pressure this man!!)
John Thune, South Dakota
Patt Toomey, Pennsylvania
Tommy Tuberville, Alabama
Todd Young, Indiana
This information was gathered from CNN on 7/21/22.
For clarification: Same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states right now based on the 2015 Supreme Court ruling. But, with the court standing as it is and with Roe being taken down, codifying same-sex marriage in law would mean that the Supreme Court would have a much, MUCH harder time stripping away the right. This is important. Marriage as a legal binding is critical to allowing spouses to visit each other in the hospital, make medical decisions, share assets, adopt and form families, and more. We need TEN Republicans to support the bill, so far there are FIVE likely supporters - we need AT LEAST FIVE MORE.
Please reblog this!!!
Just to provide more context: this bill also codifies interracial marriage into law. Currently, that’s protected only by the supreme court case Irving v. Loving.
The reason this bill has a chance at passing is because it was introduced with bipartisan support and passed the house with 25% of republicans voting yes. That’s a slim number of senators, but it could pass the filibuster’s sixty vote requirement.
This is a rare opportunity for democrats to hold republicans to the fire and force them to take a side on popular issues. Interacial marriage has >90% support and same sex marriage has >70% support.
the best thing a male character can do is be insane and love his wife
