Queen of Angry Moths

@queenofangrymoths

Still trying to live my best vampiric life in this hellscape. Tired and angry, warning: will bite.
She/They, 💖💜💙

Accidental alien courtship is so fun, a couple of headcanons:

Any kind of hand thing outside of the ta’al has the risk of being a proposition in some way for Vulcans

Fun meaninglessness contests, like arm wrestling, staring contests, random small races to grab something first, is seen as playful flirting to Klingons

Humans love chocolate, flowers, and plushies on any random day, but if you give some to them on a specific day without specifying that it’s for friendship reasons, it will immediately be seen as given with romantic intent

And it’s about 3 am so I can’t think of the other species please add some y’all

Alternatively: oc who wakes up in the future, gets a job, if they have any questions or need any clarification or anything like that they have a comm they can speak into, they use it all the time, the voice is very robotic and factual, obviously an ai, human instincts kick in tho and they try to befriend the voice, constantly make jokes with it and have conversations with the voice, a little bit embarrassed that their only friend in the future is a robotic voice that is incapable of seeing them as a friend in return but it’s whatever, at least they don’t feel embarrassed when asking for help on stuff everyone else knows because everyone else isn’t from the past

Finds out one day that the voice is not actually a robot program, but is, in fact, an attractive Vulcan coworker

Humans have a question for Vulcans

Humans: Why do we only do five years missions?

Vulcans: Because the engines, yes the engines and entire ship can’t last more than seven years. It’s a safety precaution. *totally not feeling nervous*

Humans: Oh that makes sense.😃

Vulcans: * relaxes *

*a few moments later*

Humans: Guess what?! We fixed the engine and ship issue! 😃

Vuclans: You what?!

Humans: Yes! Isn’t this great?! Now we can travel for TWENTY years none stop and even further away from our home galaxies! Maybe even longer!

Vuclans: 😦

Humans: ✨ We’re such good friends. We’re so happy to be so helpful.😄✨

Tuvok says that Vulcan children are very well behaved and have a lot of emotional control by the time they’re ~elementary school aged which makes sense but also makes me want to see what a Vulcan toddler or kindergartener acts like since they can’t be reasoned with as well (can’t really meditate) + are babies and also brimming with near irrepressible violence/emotions.

“It’s anecdotal, but I regularly see Frankenstein’s monster described as a warning against scientific hubris, an alarm about Tampering With Things That Should Be Left Alone™. This I think is quite wrong: I think it is a story about what happens when one fails the (still at the time of writing) radical enlightenment by failing to take social responsibility for one’s actions and interventions. If it’s a warning, it’s a warning about turning one’s back, out of cowardice, on what one creates, not about creating it in the first place.”
