”I have this artistic idea but not the skills to achieve it to the standard I want.”

congrats! Now you have a motif! A recurring theme! A focus for your art! Something to haunt you!

Seventeen still lives of dandelions? Three hundred poems about grief? A sketchbook dedicated to your grandmother’s house? Two books trying to unravel the complexities of familial relationships?

Don’t let the fear of it not being perfect on the first try stop you from being Weird About It!

i am once again asking my mutuals to go into their tumblr settings and filter the terms

#ai art #ai artwork #ai generated #ai image #ai photography

and any others they can think of. because i still see things posted by people who i know would not reblog it if they knew it was AI and yet. there it is on my dash. reblogged

Yeah so unfortunately, my friend was right. Muttering 'I'm gonna put on the greatest talent show this town has ever seen' darkly to myself is not only vastly funnier than saying I'm gonna kms, but is also somehow more concerning to anyone who might overhear it

please donate to the sameer project, they're running out of money and losing traction. i gave $50 just now, if you have any money to spare please consider skipping the next online purchase or order-in food and donate, it's really simple and easy to do.

scrunkly blorbos except they’re a nuanced dead person that you need to handle with care like a fragile package

Just got a new knight! I sure hope his unwavering loyalty, mindless devotion, and tendency to kneel before me to kiss the palm of my hand before he commits atrocities in my name doesn't awaken anything in me.

fuuuuck i just realized that the future idealized version of myself cant exist without current me being the catalyst for change and doing hard things. has anybody heard about this

A few years ago while trying to find ways to commit suicide as painlessly as possible, I came across a PDF of Dr. Paul Quinnett's The Forever Decision. Thinking it might go into actual methods of suicide (I read an article once that actually did that and was trying to find it again) I started to read it, and I think I only got about two pages in before I was crying too much to actually see the words.

I downloaded the PDF to my hard drive and I open it again whenever I'm feeling too suicidal to do much else, but not enough to start booking a ride to the hospital. And every time without fail I only go up to a few pages before backing off and choosing to live another day just because suicide suddenly seems even more unbearable than whatever the hell upset me in the first place.

All the book really does is [I'm pulling a summary from GoodReads here as, again, I've read no more than 5 pages] "discusses the social aspects of suicide, the right to die, anger, loneliness, depression, stress, hopelessness, drug and alcohol abuse, the consequences of a suicide attempt, and how to get help."

But it also starts with the author kindly asking the reader to complete the book before going through with anything, and for some reason I'm compelled to really just try to read it all before finalizing everything. Despite not yet completing it (hopefully never will) I think I can safely say it's saved my life at least a few times now.

It's intentionally legal to copy and redistribute this book to keep it as accessible as possible, and it's very easy to find, but here's a link for it anyways.

I feel like pirating media that isn’t sold or offered anywhere legally anymore shouldn’t be called piracy. Girl thats archaeology

ppl keep reblogging this and asking “well what are the medicine ads like in your country” and like…there aren’t any? It’s literally illegal to advertise prescription medicine here?

All of America: God I wish that were me

You know things are so normal in America when a government agency has to say we are not the gestapo. With your help we can raise the number to 500% increase in ICE officer assaults

“The New York Times collaborated with a white nationalist eugenicist hacker and agreed to keep his identity a secret to publish a Zohran Mamdani hit piece” is a way bigger story than “18 year old Zohran Mamdani ticked ‘African American’ on his Columbia application because he was a citizen of Uganda”

It really is jaw dropping behavior from NYT. Reporting on a leftish mayoral candidate's college application to a school he wasn't accepted to while the federal government is run by fascist criminals is something from an over-the-top joke tweet

Jamelle Bouie, a NY Times opinion columnist, posted about this on Bluesky and called out the Times for using a Nazi as a source for their hit piece on Mamdani.

The paper forced him to delete the posts, claiming they "were not in compliance with NY Times social media policy."

The white supremacist they used as a source is Jordan Lasker, a documented racist and eugenicist.

The article itself was written by Benjamin Ryan, a well-known transphobe who is a big fan of Jesse Singal, who has been harassing trans women and pushing transphobia for *years*.
