Robin: Wait, why are you asking Nancy that when Eddie and I are also here?

Steve: Because Nancy wouldn't scream unless it's an emergency. You two scream whenever you have the chance.

Cryptic things about my little new England town

  • The tree of dolls' heads in the woods.
  • Double rainbows happen as often as rain.
  • The time a pack of coyotes circled our car and stared at us for a good ten minutes.
  • The sound of a train going by was normal for years until I realized there isn't one near here. Just woods. There are, however, abandoned broken train tracks.
  • Helicopters go by often in formations doing "drills". That explanation might serve well once. But it became a normal occurance. There was a week or so where helicopters would go by every hour.
  • The circle in the woods where the trees are cut, with fire pits in the middle and a piece of fence is set in a way that looks like the place a priest would stand to speak.
  • When they drained the quarry, there were rumors of bodies and cars found at the bottom.
  • The crater in the earth. People say a meteor hit there. It's so large a small forrest has formed inside if it. Why the fuck is there a fence around it?
  • The day where the sky was red and there was heavy smoke over the streets near the ocean as if it were on fire. And it wasn't fog. Coyotes were out during the day. I still have no idea.
  • The power goes out way too often.
  • The man that followed us slowly down the street with a garden sickle.
  • The car that followed us alongside the woods, slowing and stopping with us until we ran away.
  • I find several four leaf clovers in my yard each time i look for them.
  • When the fog is heavy and you can't see the ocean. So the sea wall is just the edge of the world.
  • The bright blue light in the sky that shines against the clouds at night. My friend's dad says "its the lights of the bridge" but it's visible several miles away.
  • The science building in the woods. It's been under construction with gaping holes in the structure for YEARS. But people go in and out of it every day. Noones sure what it's for? Why does it have vans for a completely different company in it's lot?
  • Fireworks go off CONSTANTLY. Without it having to be a holiday. I'd like to think they're all fireworks.
  • I've met people here who claim to be from families of witches.
  • The Halloween where not a SINGLE house was giving out candy/had lights on????????
  • The song of the church bells that chime at noon.
  • The smoke i saw once from the forest in the distance.
  • The balloons that float high in the sky sometimes.
  • The guy who set up shop for no more than a week down on the main street with a random array of seemingly stolen items.
  • The police cars roaming around just too often as if looking for something or someone.
  • The time a piece if a dock floated onto our shore one night so we sat on it and ate ice cream until it started to bring us back out.
  • The boy who told me about the old man he'd meet at the shore in the middle of the night and have long conversations on his boat with.
  • The abandoned mental asylum on an island that was never torn down and no longer has a bridge to get to it.
  • The haunted elementary school (but that's a whole different post)
  • The graffiti covered fort-like structure in the woods.
  • The time there was a box of black and white WEDDING PICTURES on the side of the road.
  • The road that looks like it'll lead you to the city, but only takes you down several paths until you get out to a penninsula that's full of TALL buildings that are under construction. But again have been under construction FOREVER with not a single soul around. I was sure we'd find a road but it was only a one way path to a ghost town.
  • The time I was on a boat with no land in sight and there was a butterfly flying over the water.
  • The stray cats that let you pet them.
  • The bunker near the marsh. Someone later buried it in sand.
  • The bats that you can hear squeaking at night.
  • The fact that many schools have fall out shelters in them.
  • The gothic style houses sprinkled into the normal suburban neighborhood.
  • The girl that told me her family couldn't paint her house red because that's the devil's color.
  • The house with a cabinet of books attached to a tree labeled "free books"
  • The time my friends and I continually responded to mysterious graffiti messages. The person later left a trail of flower symbols leading to an entire WALL of inside this sort of sewer pipe you could crawl into painted in the symbol. They stopped responding after that.
  • The woman who gave me and my friends vintage dolls and things for free at a yard sale.
  • At night, several white vans just start roaming the streets.
  • The clown incident and the ones my friends found lurking around town and in the woods. (but that was a thing happening all over America in 2016)
  • The time it rained heavily, there were THREE rainbows in one day and the spot on the beach where my friends had left their bags on the rocks was the only spot left dry. (Maybe that could be it's own post too because WHAT?)
  • The week where there seemed to be baby snakes everywhere.
  • I've had to walk home from school due to various evacuations way more times than normal. The scariest time was when the principle said nothing but "School is dismissed please find the nearest exit. " They seem to be keeping secrets with the office blinds closed and teachers changing the subject.
  • My mom's friend told me a story about how she met jesus on the side of the road and he disappeared in the back seat of her car. Now knowing a lot about supernatural things, her description matches the hitchhiker ghost.

(I'll update this if i think of more. And if you like this type of post i have more stories. I love these kinds of posts and i know some people do this as a form of fictional creative writing which I do plan on doing, but I'm honored to say these descriptions are 100 percent real.)

@smokee78 i liked the star idea. The issue was trying to figure out a shape for the stars lol plain stars looked too bland so i made 2 constellations.

Then i had a struggle deciding what the bow should look like... Before deciding i didnt want one. But i snapped the template of it with the bow for ppl who do.

Ngl purple is really hard for me to see different shades of so i didnt think my color choice through and then i liked it too much to change lmao
