Movie!Adrien be like: Alliance play careless whispers by George Michael
chat noir when he sees a window he could easily open
The Miraculous movie accomplished more in under 2 hours than the show has in like 8 years
movie marinette: in the daytime, i’m marinette! just a normal girl with a normal life 😊 but there’s something about me that no one knows yet 👀 ‘cause i have a secret 😱 -> voice drops 3 octaves when singing
Little details I really liked in the Miraculous Awakening Movie and that I feel added to the characters:
—Marinette wistfully looking at the dresses on the stores and imagining how she could dress the people around her, showing what she could CREATE if she was more confident on herself.
—Gabriel going to work and see him actually being a designer.
—Adrien and his headphones. It made the isolation he has put himself in and his depression feel so real.
—Nino and Alya having a simple enough and cute dynamic of Nino having a crush on her but not being able to express it and the promise that they could become something else.
—Natalie showing from the start that she may be distant but really cares about Adrien. And is worried about how all this is affecting him.
—Sabrina letting Marinette go.
—The little dynamic Marinette had with her dad.
— All the ladynoir interactions being more intense and the way their playing slowly becomes more flirty.
—The whole "You are my sidekick" to "I'm her sidekick" pipeline. Adorable.
—Adrien being the most dramatic teenager ever hearing the most cliché music on his mind when the falls for Ladybug and then lisening to that same song and crying when he gets rejected.
—The underlying anger on Adrien's depression. I could feel him at every scene hidding how angry he was to his father.
—Being Hawkmoth physically taking a hold on Gabriel. Show him distancing himself from the rest of his life because of his obssesion, how much paranoid and miserable it makes him to not let go.
—Ladybug and Chat Noir being literally stronger when they are together.
—Chat Noir having a secret hideout inside the old theather where his mom used to preform, and him being surrounded by stray cats 😭
—Adrien saying "You have to let it go" to his father and it signifying he has begun to do that as well.
—Coming back to the begining, Marinette literally unlocking the power of creating things because now she belives on herself.
—The way Ladybug and Chat Noir looked so much happier and relaxed when they are together, showing how thay have found an scape with each other. All tied to why they feel so hopeless when they think they may not have those personas anymore.
—How in the end they both come to terms with not needing the mask to be happy, literally tosing it away.
All signified by their clothes that resemble their superhero suits, but wearing them on civilian form. Because the freedom they found being Ladybug and Chat Noir is fully a part of them now
And them ending so content with the thought of not being superheroes anymore because what matters is that they found each other 😭
Tikki’s about to throw hand with a 14 year old with anxiety
Not only do Tikki and Plagg presumably hate each other, but they’re the ones who choose their wearers! I love that so much
The awakening movie was so impactful, but its strongest aspects were its subtleties.
- The way it starts with Master Fu saying that together Ladybug and Chat Noir possess something stronger than death and in the end Gabriel says the only thing that is, is love.
- How the movie uses symbolism to highlight Marinette's connection to Plagg and with extension Adrien AT EVERY STEP. From Alya calling her a catastrophe magnet to her hearing a cat before entering the alleyway where she first meets Tikki to EVEN REVEALING HER IDENTITY TO ADRIEN BY WEARING A BLACK MASK!
- How Marinette uses a book with a black cat cover to hide herself from Adrien but at the same time reveals a glimpse of his future to him!
- The one thing that truly broke my heart was when Chat asks Ladybug to "give it time to grow" as if he has always expected love to gradually arise and never to be loved instantly. Like he looked at his father, every day, hoping that if he keeps being dutyful, keeps listening and obeying, his father will grow to love him.
Really wish this part where adrien's telling marinette about his mom was a full scene and not just a part of a montage
Giving them a heart to heart talk would be a nice way of showing their connection and how it puts marinette apart from how he views his other friends. I feel like this could've made the reveal at end even more emotional and impactful.
THEY DID GABRIEL AGRESTE SO DIRTY FOR THIS HAIRCUT AND IM HERE FOR IT HELP
Watched the MLB movie and I just. I WANT to gush about it but the fact that Marinette’s regular voice actor and her singing voice actor sound SO different just took me out of it every time and left me feeling very disengaged;; At least Adrien’s singing voice kind of sounds like his speaking voice (and Gabriel’s is 👌 bc my king Keith Silverstein can actually sing and he can sing REALLY fucking well) but Marinette’s. The voices are COMPLETELY different and it threw me off every single time. Like obviously her singing voice is really good and I understand why they picked that person to do her songs but bro you could have at least TRIED to get someone that sounds similar to Cristina Vee. It drove me nuts every time she sang bc I was like “That is CLEARLY a different person entirely!!”
I’m realizing this might have been a dubbing issue but still 😭 I feel like I would have enjoyed the movie way more if it didn’t look like Marinette was lip syncing the entire time bc there was such a huge disconnect between her speaking and singing voice
ADRIEN TELLING OFF HIS FATHER WITHOUT HESITATION IS EVERYTHING IVE EVER WANTED FOR THE ENTIRE 7 YEARS OF THIS SHOW
Although it’s a sad meme, I couldn’t resist making it.
Marinette and Adrien, in an alternate universe, finally achieved their ultimate happiness and obtained the happy ending they had been longing for.
* loved seeing the show and movie Gabriels interacting! 😊😊
