10 Ways to Forgive Yourself
All of us have made mistakes at some point in our lives. Some of those may be small, while the others may be the kind that serves as a reminder for you to keep working on yourself. It is easier to just move on and forget about something instead of sitting and mulling over your mistakes. However, in doing so you may forget an important step in the way; forgiving yourself. Empathy, compassion, kindness, and understanding are all necessary qualities for self-forgiveness. It also entails your acceptance of the fact that forgiving is a choice. Forgiveness frees us from bitterness and anger, two emotions that not only don’t feel good but can also disrupt our physical health and hold us back from all the good we might achieve and experience.
The actions you need to take to forgive yourself will look and feel the same whether you’re attempting to work through a little mistake or one that has far-reaching consequences.
In today’s article, I will discuss 10 ways to forgive yourself.

1. Focus on your emotions
“I worry about people who cruise through life, friction-free, for a long, long time before encountering their first real failure. They have so little practice falling and getting up again. They have so many reasons to stick with a fixed mindset. I see a lot of invisibly vulnerable high-achievers stumble in young adulthood and struggle to get up again. I call them the “fragile perfects.” Sometimes I meet fragile perfects in my office after a midterm or a final. Very quickly, it becomes clear that these bright and wonderful people know how to succeed but not how to fail.”

commitment inventory
Hey, it’s werelivingarts again! My school was shut down yesterday since we’re going back to virtual school :( 😭
Beside other time management method such as Eat the Frog, Getting Things Done or Pomodoro Technique, here is another method that I find extremely useful in my life, which is called Commitment Inventory. I incorporate this technique in many ways to find out and prioritize what tasks are truly important to me.
Stay tuned, more posts are coming soon! ❤️💙💜
lately ive been feeling under the clouds. don’t feel motivated to do anything nor have the drive to move forward. however, just journaling and tearing random pages from my fav books makes me feel a bit productive. what do u think about this spread? I personally fell in love with it, especially the watercolor background.
the overwhelming grief of losing an entire year to sickness, violence and pandemic fatigue is settling in so id like to remind everyone that: you are not a failure, yes there is still a happy future for you, and wearing a mask is very sexy
I’m ok. I’m gonna be ok. I’m gonna live a beautiful life and I’ll get to know beautiful people. I will create things of beauty and be surrounded by flowers. And I’ll love myself, and I’ll be soft, I’ll be kind. And I’ll be ok.

God is the only reason I made it this far.
I think the fast paced society we live in currently has brainwashed me into thinking i can upgrade myself and my life just as fast as when i restart my computer or phone. I have forgotten the natural cycles of life… how the moon takes her time to be full or how the crops take their time to grow their fruits.
i hope you pursue what you love in 2021, supported and surrounded by people who are so happy to have you in their lives. i hope you realize that we grow from failure, and that the lessons you learn will benefit you so much. those bumps along the roads, the sad days, the doubting, things not turning out just the way you imagined they would - they will happen, and it will be okay. you’ll face it, you’ll survive, grow, and you’ll make a wonderful year for yourself, regardless, or indeed because of that.
you are allowed to be proud of the victories that no one else can see. like showering without completely hating your body, not breaking into tears at the thought of the future, talking yourself out of a dark mindset, calming yourself down in public, or like waking up every single day and choosing life. be proud of the progress no matter if it is visible for others or not. you’re doing great, keep up the good work!
@ everyone who went through a period of having no friends, who ate alone, who had a point in their life where they were too embarrassed to tell their parents they had no one to play with after school: I love you. I know it hurts and I know it’s hard but it’s not your fault. Things will grow and change. You will find people who you click with and they will love you too. You deserve positive friendship relationships just like anyone else. And if you’re still going through this phase, you’re strong, and things will change for you too. You are not alone, there are people experiencing the same thing you are, find them, you deserve positivity and companionship. Keep your head up.
🥲😭🤧
I long for living a really calming life, bro, I love the warm feeling of drinking tea before going to sleep, I like to read a book with absolute silence around me, I love poems that make me go insane, I love it when I'm inspired and I start creating, whatever, a drawing, a clumsy song, a dream, I love romanticizing the little things, I love being in bed, all cozy, watching a movie or smelling the rain, enjoying my own company and the company of people i love, I love going to the museum or being in the park, playing my favorite music and relating songs to moments, giving hugs and going outside to appreciate the sunsets and feeling my heart jump every time, taking photos of very special moments, I love being quiet , daydreaming, getting a little drunk with people I love or by myself in the roof. I aspire to keep it like that, to have a job that makes me happy and have a lot of kittens because they melt my heart, have as many plants as I can and I want a pure and warm love, I am patient and contrary to what others may think, I feel that I have enjoyed my youth, I'm enjoying my youth.
““To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.””
