came back wrong trope but the character knows that they came back wrong. they’re so acutely aware of how different they are now from how they were before that it drives them fucking insane. they’re stuck trying to return to somebody that’s long dead. they can never be the person they once were. everybody around them knows it. deep down, they know it too, but they’re trapped in a cycle of their own making. of trying to revive someone that no longer exists.

i’ve been watching gotham knights cutscenes on youtube and my sense of humor’s probably fucked because i’m thoroughly entertained by the amount of conversations where someone awkwardly reminds jason of his death and jason’s response is like
“oh? you mean when i DIED? you mean when i was BRUTALLY MURDERED AS A CHILD? is that what you meant? when i was KILLED and then BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE? you want to talk about that?”
Gotham Knights deciding, "you know what, if the comics won't commit to bi dick Grayson, we will!" and then having Babs try to talk Jason into wearing a rainbow coloured hood while the four of them attend Pride is hands down the funniest way to get canon bi dick, some of you are just no fun at all
