I Wish the Sun Wouldn’t Go Down

The two sat in a heavy silence; only the soft whistle of a breeze passing between them. He watched her as she gazed out at the horizon, wondering what thoughts were running rampant through her mind. What was hidden behind the never ending ocean of those  blue depths? What made them seem so far away? He wanted to ask. He wanted to hear about those deep secrets that only she knew, but would never let past her ruby lips. Their syllables would never dance through the soft breeze and carry into his awaiting ears, for they were never to be spoken aloud. But just before he turned to follow her distant gaze, those vivid cerulean orbs met his own, blue gazing into green, and he felt as if he would disappear into them, leaving nothing but a lonely memory behind.

Her lips slowly parted and the familiar, whimsical voice poured from them, allowing the forbidden thoughts out into the open. “Sometimes I wish the sun wouldn’t go down,” she whispered, turning back to the forgotten horizon. Her words had been fleeting, small, insignificant even, but they tore through his mind like bullet. The simple phrase may have been nothing to her, but it had meant so much to him. He felt as if another piece of her unknown puzzle was finally snapping into place.

“What’s so special about the sun?” He asked.

The breeze caressed the twilight curls of her hair, sending them spiraling into a whirlwind. She was silent for a few moments, those untamed thoughts jumbling together inside her busy mind, before she spoke in the same, soothing tone as before. “It’s so alive,” she began, eyes reflecting the darkening hues of the setting sun. “Every ray is filled with a warmth, so unlike any warmth that I’ve ever known. It’s not like the soft warmth of a smile or the blaze of a kiss, but a simple, pulsing warmth that soothes my pain and worries away.”

“Do you have a lot of pain and worries?”

A sad smile played on the corners of those scarlet lips that held back all the secrets that were buried deep within. “I wouldn’t want to spoil the view with empty talks of old scars and distant memories,” she whispered, voice wavering like the distant trees branches in the wind.

1. Drink at least 3L water everyday 2. Drink green tea in the morning 3. Eat at least 1500kcal otherwise your metabolism will slow down 4. Avoid sugar - eat healthy 5. Eat regularly 6. Never skip breakfast 7. Don’t binge 8. Still listen to your body!

I saw a picture someone had done something like this and got inspired to do it tooI think it’s great for motivation and keeping track of your weight! If you want I think you should try it! Wanna lose weight? Here's the best advise I can give you 🐘🌸

First of all, stand in front of the mirror and look at your reflection. Ask yourself a question “Do I like what I see? Am I healthy?” and answer honestly. If the answers are both “yes” then you can stop reading cause reading it would just waste your time. Go and have fun, live the best life you can, do what you love. However, if you answered “no” to at least one of those questions, keep on reading.

You don’t like the reflection in the mirror, do you? You want to lose weight, get rid of all the fat covering you but you can’t. You are trapped inside your own body. You want to escape but there is no way out. You’ve been trying to lose weight but you can’t succeed. It’s too difficult. You binge. You stop losing weight and give up. You have to start over again. Am I right? Well, if yes, then I gotta tell you something. IT’S COMPLETELY OKAY TO FAIL. As long as you pick yourself up and fix it. Look, nobody is perfect and you have to admit it. Although, we all want to be as close to “perfect” as possible. It’s normal. You wanna be the best you can be. You wanna be good enough. But remember, never change FOR SOMEBODY. Change FOR YOURSELF. If somebody tells you to change, that means that they’re not worth it. Would you really want to look better to make some fake people like you more? Would you? You shouldn’t. It’s not how you meet true friends for life or your second half. Not this way…

Okay, so now we’re at the point where you want to lose weight for yourself. That’s completely okay and I’m here to help you with that. Let’s start with motivation. It’s the most crucial thing.

MOTIVATION 🚵🏽 You don’t need to have tons of photos of underweight girls saved on every single device you have. Or a head full of catchy quotes like “hungry to bed, hungry to rise makes a girl a smaller size”. It’s not helping. Trust me. I’ve figured it out myself. We need a stronger motivation. Have you ever seen Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban? Harry learnt a spell that was supposed to get rid of the dementors (the creatures that take all of the happiness away; symbolise depression). Harry had to think of the nicest memory he had. The strongest one. Then he had to say Expecto Patronum and the patronus appeared but it’s not the point now. He needed a strong thought to push him. This is what we need. Something strong. 🗒🖋Now I want you to take a pen and a piece of paper. Go ahead, take it and keep on reading. Do you have something to write? Okay. Now I want you to think for a longer time. Think why you want to lose weight. What you want to achieve. Think of all those reasons. To prove somebody wrong? To feel more comfortable? So you could do something and your weight is an obstacle now? Note it all. In details. Tiny details. Make it stronger so your charm will work, so your patronus will show up. 🦄 You can have it written on a piece of paper and read it every time you need to or you can note it on your wrist. Whatever works for you is good. Now look at yourself in the mirror and imagine yourself standing there skinnier in a few months time. Stand there and try to see it until you succeed. So now that we have a patronus, our guard, we can go further.

❗️NOTE: some people lose weight faster and some do it slower. ‼️And one more note before we get into it. Don’t weight yourself daily. Most of the change you see is water weight. Not fat. We don’t loose it that quick. Try to do it not more often than twice a week. And don’t give up if you gain weight or stay at the same point. Just shake it off and keep working.

So now we’re getting to the concrete. Think, do you eat healthy? Do you eat the right amounts? Do you even eat right foods? I know what you think. “Ugh, healthy eating, eating 1200 calories daily etc.“😩🙇🏻 Well, you’re wrong. I’m not gonna tell you the exact amounts of calories you should eat so if that’s what you’ve been waiting for, sorry.

🌸 All I wanna say is that if you eat healthy it’s easier. Let’s take a bar of chocolate as an example. It has around 400-500 calories. If you eat it all does it make you feel full? A bar of chocolate has around 450 kcal in 100 grams. And let’s take for example a cucumber. 12 kcal in 100 grams. There are many many other things I can give as an example but let’s work with chocolate and cucumber. Now, do it or imagine doing it. Take 2 identical plates, put 100 grams of chocolate on one plate and 100 grams of cucumber on the second one. Or else. Put 500 calories of chocolate on one plate and 500 calories of cucumber on the second plate. Do it or imagine. You get the point now? I hope so.

🌸 Next thing with sweets (or candy, however you call it). Did you know that it slows down your metabolism? And do you know how much time does your metabolism need to increase after sweets? I will tell you. It’s 3 days. It basically means that if you are now eating chocolate, your metabolism will increase in 3 days but that’s only if you won’t eat any more sweets. It’s a long lasting effect, isn’t it?

🌸 So basically I’d advice to avoid sugar at all. No sweets, no sugar added to tea or coffee, no sweet drinks or pies. It just slows down your metabolism. If you need a sweet tea, use honey, it’s much healthier.

🌸 Another important thing is fibre. It cleans your intestines. Long story short, your digestive system is healthier and gets the “leftovers” out quicker and you lose weight. Oatmeal has a lot of it. Various seeds do too. A porridge in the morning is a good idea.

🌸 Is cinnamon good with weight loss? Yes, it is. Have you ever tried eating cinnamon? Well, it’s not a nice experience. It absorbs all the water from your mouth. However, once you eat it, it does so with the water weight too. Cinnamon and lemon tell your body to not store water. Apparently, if you eat a teaspoon of cinnamon in the morning, it helps to get rid of water weight. But I gotta tell you that it’s awful. Try and eat it with yogurt or something, it’s what I did.

🌸 Speaking of yogurts. Do not eat flavoured yogurt. It’s full of sugar. Choose natural yogurts and buy some berries, seeds, whatever you like, and add it to the yogurt. It tasted even better.

🌸 Drinks. Drink water, water and water once again. It has endless benefits for your body to drink around 2-3 l of water every day. Your skin gets shinier and healthier, so do your hair, it gets rid of your water weight (our bodies store water like camels🐫🐪, once we have the constant access to water and our organism knows it, it gets rid of the extra water that is not needed). Water also makes you feel fuller and has no calories. I know that some people just can’t get used to drinking water. Start with adding lemon juice. Don’t drink flavoured water. One bottle he the same amount of calories as a SNICKERS. It’s not a small number, believe me or check for yourself. Clear water. This is your best friend from now on.

🌸 Do not ever skip breakfast. After half an hour after you wake up your body turns on the “survivor mode” so it basically stores calories to help you survive. Sorry. Evolution’s fault, not mine. If you’re not hungry just take a bite of something. And if it’s something hot it’s even better. It turns on your digestive system and it works better than with cold food.

🌸 Don’t eat 4 hours before you go to sleep. Your organism needs some time to digest everything and when you’re asleep it kinda turns off and all the food there is stays in your intestines and they absorb as many calories from that as possible.

🌸 Note what you eat. And count calories. It sometimes stops you from eating more when you see that you’ve already eaten a certain number of calories.

🌸 Don’t be afraid of working out. Muscle mass won’t come within a day. And it you don’t want the muscle mass, try doing cardio, like for example running; it also helps with your posture. Stretch daily. It’s also exercise.

🌸 Set yourself goals! To run 30 minutes without stopping. To get to …lbs by the end of the month. Reward yourself if you reach a goal. But not with food. You’re not a dog to be rewarded with food. Get yourself new earrings, go out with friends, buy yourself a new T-shirt. Whatever you like ☺️

And now the most important thing. 🌸 Don’t ever give up or think you can’t do it. Don’t tell yourself “I’m fat”. Tell “I will be skinny”. Try to be positive. Don’t think about food constantly, find something that makes you happy and do it. Do whatever makes you happy. Don’t let any obstacles stop you. Show yourself how strong you can be by getting over all of those difficulties you will stumble upon. You are strong enough to do it. You decided to change and read the whole post so far. You really want it and you can do it.

how it really feels

I go off the rails all the time now. every since I started doing this for like 38 hours at a time, I got so obsessed. counting calories on the fucking daily, internally beating me myself up for eating so much all the time, even if it was a small portion of something. it makes me get full faster, and the feeling of full makes me feel like I’ve failed. like however far I’ve come will never be fucking good enough because I ruin it. I need someone permanently walking me through this, telling me, convincing me that hungry is a good feeling. because I can’t tell myself. I hate myself every day if I eat something. but I’ve trained myself that way. I want to be small so bad that I’ve turned myself into a psycho person about this. and I still won’t stop. cause after the first 10 pounds you lose, gaining another one will fucking destroy you.

So I’d say one of the best ways to build stamina is to do interval training - this is basically when you have a period of intense running followed by a period of light running (or walking if you prefer). For instance, you could do 5 mins running then 5 mins walking and repeat this 5 times. And then to improve you can up the running time and lower the walking time eg. 6mins running 4mins walking, and repeat until you have 0 walking and it’s all running - but make sure to do it gradually! As in maybe do the 5:5 ratio two or three times one week and then the following week do 6:4 two or three times as opposed to doing 5:5 once then 6:4 once (if that makes sense)It’s all about progression and working up to the target without injuring yourself.
