It's absolutely cruel to women in general to have gender neutral bathrooms replacing women's rooms, but it's downright unfathomably evil to do this to little and teen girls, especially in schools.

Imagine being 9 and getting your first period, bleeding all over the toilet, thinking you're dying, and having your male peers in the room with you instead of just other girls who can get you cleaned up and comfort you, telling you what a period is and that you're safe.

Imagine being 12 and having endometriosis, curled up on the toilet in agony on your lunch break at school, and hearing the boys in the next stall over making sex jokes (or worse - laughing at your sobbing).

Imagine being 10 and having no way to hide the fact that you changed your pad from the boys in your grade who will then go on to tease you and say you're bitchy and hormonal if you fight back.

Imagine being 14 and trying to find a moment of reprieve from the boys sexually harassing you, only to have them follow you into the bathroom and record audio of you urinating.

Imagine being 6, just entering first grade, and having an older boy kick open the cubicle you were struggling to lock.

Imagine being 17 and having your male peers crawl under your cubicle, phone in hand, camera app on.

Imagine being 15 and having nowhere to be with just your female friends to cry about heartbreak or harassment, or even just to be with girls alone to laugh and joke in peace.

Lack of sex segregated accommodations in wartime prisons are considered a human rights violation by the Geneva conventions for a reason. This is psychological torture towards our girls. It's evil. Truly fucking evil.

Klinefelter’s only affects male. So that person would be male with a genetic condition. @inferior-mirage has brilliant comments on intersex conditions as she’s intersex herself. 

But, for future reference; the Y chromosome (or rather, the SRY gene on it)essentially defines your sex. That’s why people with CAIS (genotypical males, phenotypical women) also look & are raised like women but have neither ovaries nor a uterus, i.e. are infertile.

Let’s take a deeper look at this male-specific chromosomal abnormality and remind ourselves why intersex advocacy groups such as ISNA or OII do not recognize our disorders as evidence for a third gender or sex:

There's a movie called "I Am Not an Easy Man" that was making the rounds on radblr recently. The plot is essentially that an average french man hits his head and wakes up in a world where women inhabit the male gender role and vice-versa. At first, he is outwardly angry at his treatment as an oppressed man but eventually begins to conform so that he can survive. I was struck by how ridiculous the men looked fully waxed, in revealing "dress-shorts", obsessing over their weight and penis shape and facial structure, constantly styled to appeal to a female gaze. It was funny at first until I realized that is how women look to men. Every time they see us decorated for their enjoyment they are reminded of their power over us, that we will humiliate ourselves because we have little choice otherwise.

that really gets me thinking though like 'karens' are the hallmark of bad customer service experiences and entire accounts are dedicated to posting karen freakouts and no i dont sympathize with entitled women acting ridiculous, but it does annoy me that women are posited as the people always freaking out at customer service workers when in my experience men do it just as much but the only difference is it is fucking scary when they do it and it doesn't make for good content. someone screaming and acting like a child is awful to deal with as a worker but you aren't in any real danger. but men are the ones who will literally harrass, stalk, and threaten you just because they dont like your policy or whatever

and it's the same thing with implying that 'boy moms' or whatever have incestuous relationships with their children because they are like overly attached to them, or maybe prioritize their sons over their daughters because of internalized misogynistic ideals. again, we can criticize this- i'm not siding with these women either. i just think it's interesting how men are actually the ones who most often commit incest against children in their families, and yet so one is really making these funny jokes about 'girl dads'. why? oh, because it's not really all that absurd and is actually a terribly common phenomenon.

women are easy targets for online jokes. it lets people let out their misogyny a little, lets them confirm their biases about crazy emotional bitches, and we know they aren't nearly as likely to really enact abuse, or seriously endanger the lives of customer service workers, so it's easy to posit it as a joke. men on the other hand, actually do threaten, stalk and kill people, especially women (i.e. the majority of people working in customer service), and are much more likely to commit incest abuse. so it's not really so funny, and it's not really so much of a 'joke'.
