I did not enjoy Curious village like it's a fine game it just wasn't fun to me.

Just thinking about how screwed up Descole and Whistler’s plan was in Eternal Diva. They basically want to wipe a girl’s mind (making her brain dead) so Melina can live again. Either that or Melina will have to ‘die’ again and Whistler goes through all his grief again. All this for the ruins of Ambrosia. WTF, Desmond? I know your own daughter died and you want to beat Targent, but WTF, my dude? There must be easier ways than this!

There is a English Dub to LMDA (Layton Mystery Detective Agency) But Unfortunately Level 5 and The Dub Producers are Just Sitting on it and I Assume Are Loosing Money From Sitting on it. Because One Episode Leaked Online thats why it’s even known about in the first place. There Should be a Official Release, But I’m starting to worry there won’t be one. So I’m Starting to Worry that it will take a leak for episodes to even release.
Pls note that this is only a test dub by SDI (Same people who did Ares). Sadly no network and streaming service picked it up (because they got no taste).
Here is a reddit post with a link to the pilot if anyones curious (link) Why they choose to do the 17th episode? I don't know man.
do people still pretend they think descole is hot or did the fandom get over that?
HE'S PUZZLE CHAR
of course the fandom will never get over that
It surprises me that people don’t ship Layton and Emmy because of the age gap between them. Last time I checked they were both adults, correct? She’s 24 during the Last Specter and Layton would have been 30. That’s not as big of a difference as you may think. Also insert obligatory “no they’re not actually cousins” comment here. Emmy only called Bronev uncle like how you’d call an old man “ojisan” in a respectful manner. Look up the bonus scenes in the extras of Miracle Mask. It’s explained there.
Anyway, I ship Layton and Emmy. They’re both adults and not related and used to be one of the more popular ships in the fandom. I miss that.
I also ship Layton and Janice from Eternal Diva. She was 23 in the movie and that would have been right after Last Specter. I’d like to think Janice would love to go on another adventure with Layton. The movie even says that Janice is quite fond of him so you got some ship material there.

On one hand, I do love Katrielle and think she is a fun, lovably quirky character. On the other hand, I wish Flora had been the protagonist of LMJ instead, getting character development as she balances solving other people's mysteries and trying to find where the heck Layton went.

i used to be friends with this really huge swath of layton fandom people but now i'm terrified of most of them because of just how downright toxic things got. i love this series (it's my special interest) and i'd love to engage with the fandom more, but it just feels like i might be stepping on a landmine at any moment and i really do not want to experience that again... be kind to each other, y'all!!
:)
sorry just reading that confession from 2 months ago and laughing my arse off that someone wrote all that and took themselves seriously. glad to see the clive haters in this fandom are still as hilarious as they were 5 years ago :'D
It's the Groupies
blog dead or fandom dead?
Blog is in Limbo, I've been busy with other things
i never found Clive to be as “nuanced” and “deep” and “interesting” as so many fans I’ve met claim he is, tbh. i genuinely wanted to go into unwound future liking Clive but after playing the whole game he was just so stale in comparison to everyone else. his parents blew up because of the prime minister and he was like “yeah im gonna get revenge on my parents dying in the explosion that resulted from a rich scientist not considering the consequences his actions have on others by becoming a rich man myself that has access to grand scientific projects too but without actually working for it and destroying all of london without considering the consequences of my actions on others that could be as devastating as how I felt back then” which is so stupid and has potential for calling out hypocrisy in the themes but no. and it’s never acknowledged by the Clive kinnies they always just go “uwu he was a victim he did nothing wrong” and praise the shallowest parts of his characterization. bestie hes not even sexy or queercoded, he has the personality depth of a piece of crumpled styrofoam. dimitri, descole and randall are right there if you want a conventionally attractive gay looking man of science with dubious morals and actual thought put into their characterization, yet you choose the guy that looks like a stretched 12yr old

I know some people are able to excuse Bronev’s actions… but him stabbing Aurora (who is basically a teenage girl) in the heart was the bottom line for me. Maybe I’d feel sorry for him if there was just ONE moment of him being a good father to his sons or Emmy, but there’s nothing. He helps stop the Azran Legacy… after he unleashed it in the first place. But I don’t begrudge anyone who likes him!

I’m not a fan of Crow/Luke. It really does feel like people saw Luke interacting with this one age appropriate random guy and said OH FINALLY A GAY SHIP FOR LUKE. They barely have any interactions outside of one line. (And people call other Luke ships bland…) Personally I think Luke/Umid is cuter. You could call it bland but it’s no more bland than Luke/Crow
.
I would like to participate in the Professor Layton Secret Santa this year, but I’m honestly a little hesitant. I have no doubts I could do most any prompt that came my way, and I know what I’d ask for, but who will I get and vice versa? Will they even like me enough to go through with it? (Am one of those people that’s pretty much convinced everybody hates them, so please bear with me 😓)
