there's a lot of talk out there on the blogosphere about people misreading/misinterpreting the great gatsby as an endorsement of gatsby's mindset and lifestyle, but imo the person who misread the book the WORST was none other than one nick carraway. dude met a living metaphor and took him completely at face value 😔

Psst...you should talk about your Yuchi/Ladybug thoughts...

I TALKED ABOUT THEM A TINY BIT ALREADY BUT,,,,,thoughts consist mostly of Maria not being able to pick Ladybug up for some reason which leads to Shigeru letting Ladybug stay with them for awhile (I don’t think it’s canon but in my heart Shigeru, Yuichi, and Wataru live together) and Ladybug is just trying to help around so he’s not a bother. But one day for some reason Yuichi has to bring Ladybug along for checking up on still in a coma Wataru but gets called away, and when Ladybug is alone with Wataru he wakes up and Ladybug freaks put because he knows Yuichi hates being woken up so Yuichi walks in on him trying to get Wataru to fall back asleep and he just falls in love with Ladybug a tiny bit…….

I’m sorry but the biggest issue stemming from low literacy rates is not people thinking something isn’t morally pure because an author wrote about something bad/dark. People can’t even pick up on the military propaganda in the MCU or the persist impacts of copaganda on perceptions of crime and how that supports further expansion of the police or even the devastating impacts of coordinated disinformation campaigns by the well funded right.

Like the post I’m talking about can’t even provide salient non fandom examples please get serious for a second

Florida schools are teaching PragerU videos but apparently the biggest threat is this idea that some people apparently think creators are bad because they wrote about sexual Assualt or murder?

Where’s that post that’s like “is this an issue that only exists on a small liberal arts college campus?”
