Can we just talk about Lana Del Rey’s body for a second? I absolutely adore it. I understand that these might not be considered the most “flattering” photos, but they’re not photoshopped so that’s why I enjoy them. Lana is an icon of sex appeal and confidence. She is absolutely gorgeous and alluring. And she is AVERAGE sized. You can’t see her ribs and she doesn’t have a booty that sticks out 100ft, or boobs that will knock her out when she runs. But there’s also nothing wrong with any of those attributes (pro girl love! End girl hate!) it’s just that the media has programmed us to believe that those are the ONLY desirable body traits and if you’re not skinny with a big butt and big boobs then you are ugly and nobody will ever want you. I just love that Lana is confident and sassy and knows she’s beautiful. I look at her as a symbol of empowerment.
