Your evil mother was killed by a demonic entity that took her form. It planned to torture you by revealing itself when you grew up, and feast on your terror and fear. When the day came, however, you felt no fear or despair. Instead, you thanked the demon for being the best mother ever.

Demon Mom (Part 1)

If someone would have asked you who your greatest hero was, your answer would have always been the same.

Your mother.

Looking back you didn’t like remembering life before she saved you. It had been drowning in long silences over dinner and suffocating when the screaming of angry fights flooded your room.

It had been a thousand varations of why aren’t you ever good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, had been nights spent crying, hands clenched over your mouth so as not to make a sound.

And then it all stopped. Your mother still looked the same, but you knew it wasn’t her. Her gaze wasn’t filled with regret and resentment whenever she set eyes on you, she didn’t snap at you when you asked for lunch money, didn’t drink herself senseless in the evenings.

Instead she didn’t seem to know much about children at all, in the beginning, having to call the fire department multible times after the first few failed cooking attempts.

But you didn’t terribly mind her lack of knowledge, as a night spent chasing wolfes was far more family time than you had had for the last few years.

No one seemed to miss your father and you weren’t surprised. You didn’t need him anyways, your mother was more than enough, teaching you how to fight in the backyard on long summer nights and had had at least one fight with every one of your teachers when they dared to give you an undeserved bad grade.

Demon Mom (Part 2)

(Hayo I recieved a lot of positive feedback on the first part, so thank you all so much for all the replies, likes and reblogs! I hereby raise you part two of our beloved demon mom and fam!)

( Part 1 )

When you thought your life was strange before it was nothing compared to now, where your mom felt finally free enough to show all of her demon sides (and who were you kidding you were living for it).

In preparation for family dinner at hell, your mom was trying to introduce you to hell's cuisine, which lead to half of the students avoiding and the other half gaining a new kind of respect for you.

After trying the first bite of your lunchbox your eyes turned black and you'd been able to shoot fire, which you most definetely didn't use to burn the class president's homework.

He deserved it after talking bad about your mom.

And this would certainly win you the prize in the upcoming halloween competition. The poor contestants didn't even know what was coming for them.

***

"How'd you learn to do that?"

Involuntarily, you had gained a new admirer, who'd graciously set it upon himself to unravel the mystery of your existence and latest lunchbox.

"Born like this" you wink and walk faster.

It will never not be funny to me that people genuinely find Vergil attractive because if I saw someone like him on the street IRL my first instinctive reaction would be to run in the opposite direction lol

It’s just so wild to me because like, even though I’m asexual and I almost never feel any romantic attraction towards guys, I can at least see where people are coming from with Dante, Nero, and V.

But then I look at someone swooning over a smiling picture of Vergil and literally all I see is a sociopath that’s going to kill me. Lmao

Different Ways to Describe Brown Eyes

-> feel free to edit and adjust pronouns as you see fit.

  • Her eyes were the color of honey, irises swirling like the sweet nectar.
  • His eyes—the color of an intoxicating champagne—beckoned her over with nothing more than a wink and a smile.
  • They had eyes like mud, perfectly matched with the frown that permanently stained their face.
  • Her eyes were as bright as the raging sun and the color of dancing flames.
  • They wore blue eyeshadow to contrast their dark brown eyes.
  • Her eyes were as beautiful as the leaves of trees in autumn.
  • His eyes were nearly black, like a void that held a lifetime of secrets.
  • Dirt. She had eyes like dirt. They were almost as dirty as her personality.
  • Their eyes reminded her of old brick libraries and vintage books.
  • She had the kind of eyes that made thieves wonder why they bothered to steal pieces of art.
  • His eyes made her think of the sandcastles she used to build as a kid.
  • Their eyes were the same color as the old oak tree their great-great-grandfather planted in the backyard.
  • His eyes were the same color as the bottle of liquor in his hand.
  • They had a smile like spring, but their eyes were autumn with a hint of passing summer.
  • Her dark eyes were flaked with gold.
  • His brown eyes had tragedy weaved behind his irises.
  • Brown, copper eyes that paired with the dry blood stuck to their face watched him as he stalked across the tiled floor.

For those who don’t follow kakapo conservation, they are critically endangered parrots who only breed on years where the rimu tree they rely on meet a certain threshold of fruit production. One breeding season in 4 years can be typical, and about half of all eggs laid by kakapo are infertile (they still aren’t completely certain why, it could be a recent population bottleneck) so each fertile egg is worth its weight in gold.

This was one of only 5 fertile eggs laid on the Whenua Hou island population in the 2014 breeding season and it got crushed by its mother on accident. It was mended with glue and tape and incubated by the rangers until hatching.

At 150 days old kakapo chicks are officially added to the population total and given a unique name, until then they are given their mother’s name and a number for birth order laid in the clutch. This chick was known as Lisa-one before officially being given the name Ruapuke by local indigenous Ngai Tahu people. Here he is grown up:
