I don’t understand this “you don’t know how much that hurts” stuff. Do men not remember rejecting women? Have they forgotten that they hold us to impossibly high standards of behavior and beauty? That our personality alone is not enough for most men. Us being a “nice person” isn’t what men list as their prime quality in a woman.

How come we’re rejected constantly, compared to each other, pitted against each other and pretty much just accept this and move on but the second we do that to a guy we’re friend zoning bitches that are shallow and heartless.

Normally the men complaining about rejection would have no problem finding a lovely girlfriend if they’d just expand their idea of beauty.

If you’re not a stereotypical “hot guy” don’t expect to pull a stereotypical “hot chick”. It’s not every man’s right to have an extremely attractive girlfriend; it’s not your right to have any girlfriend. And if you wouldn’t date a woman based purely on her having a nice personality, why the fuck should any woman date you?

This is how you know that men are incapable of empathizing with women. When they say shit like “You don’t know how much it hurts to get rejected” it is a DIRECT, CLEAR implication that we don’t experience emotion or pain on the same level that they do. That is some basic-ass misogyny and dehumanization and you should back away from any man that talks that way.

Halloween is coming up and since I know how you all can get sometimes I feel like this is a necessary reminder: don’t make fun/make any sort of derogatory comment about a child wearing a minion costume. Children LIKE minions, there will be A LOT of little minions running around this Halloween. No one cares if you hate minions, no one wants to hear that you hate minions, so keep it to yourself. Tell those kids this Halloween that their minion costume is the best you’ve ever seen and that minions are your favorite character in the world. Just don’t be an asshole.

If your nude photos are posted online without your permission, Microsoft and Google want to know.

For years, most victims of revenge porn — people who have had their nude photos shared online without permission — basically couldn’t do anything about it.

According to one study, over 50% of all adults engage in sexting, and 70% admit to having received a nude photo online or over the phone.

And yet, despite the fact that we all (or at least more than half of us) do it, there’s still this weird, persistent, harmful notion that if your naked pictures get leaked or shared maliciously by an ex online, it’s your fault for taking them in the first place.

It’s completely backward, but sadly, the law seems to at least kind of agree.

As of September 2014, New Republic found, putting someone else’s illicit photos online without their consent was illegal in just 16 states, though laws have been proposed in more states. Not only is it typically impossible to prosecute the perpetrator, they note, it’s impossible to legally compel websites to take the images taken down most of the time.

But thankfully, Microsoft and Google — which operate two of the biggest search engines on the web — don’t think it’s your fault. And they’re finally saying “Enough is enough.”

This is incredible!! I am so glad more people are looking into it now!! I completely gave up on the idea of getting to the beach, but this fills me with such hope!

You know what I never see? PSAs for non traditional seizures. Like my grandma has epilepsy, and she’ll have non traditional seizures. By that I mean, there is no shaking. Shes still, she can look around with her eyes only but they have a very far off look and can Hear you but other than that she’s completely unresponsive. I also found out, when I had mine, it felt as though I was shaking when I think back, but my dad and mom both say I looked like a ghost and was just completely still holding onto the couch in a death grip. Not all seizures are traditional like on tv or in medical classes. People can just become very unresponsive and still. It’s important to just sit with them till theyre responsive again and ask if they feel they need to goto the hospital.

And also seizures where you are still conscious during the episode! While it may look strange, the person is fully aware of what’s happening but can’t stop it. There are tons of different types of seizures that aren’t covered by media and PSAs, and it’s important to know what to do for someone who is having a “non traditional” seizure.
