Honestly, it wasn't a shock to you that Peter wanted to take a raincheck on celebrating Christmas. You and him had seen the reports, crime goes up near the holiday. Car jackings, retail theft, home robberies even. It was sad to think about, but you understood why Peter wanted to be there.

Ever since you started dating Peter, you knew he was Spider-Man. After all, you never had seen the two in the same place at the same time. And after a rainy night when he came to you with more cuts and bruises than he left you with, you'd known.

But, you as the loving partner understood. With a smile on your face, telling your boyfriend to go - be the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, stopping the bad guys and saving Christmas. You told him you and him would celebrate later, that it was still the winter season and he could make it up to you later, which he promised he would.

You still went on with your plans. Decorating your apartment with the dreaded Mariah Carey song playing on the radio as you hung up your last strand of Christmas lights. You'd always wanted to go out for the winter season, with snowflakes and even holiday dressed gnomes on your shelves.

You'd planned everything out. Once the crime rates went down in Queens, you'd celebrate with Peter. His gift laying under your Christmas tree that just barely fit into your apartment, wrapped with a little bow. Even red wrapping paper and a blue bow to match his suit.
