You can die from cardiac arrest at ANY BMI. Obese, overweight, normal, underweight, AND severely underweight. ANY weight.

Do you know how many eating disorder sufferers, who outwardly appear fine, DIE from going into cardiac arrest? A LOT.

Here’s one thing, for example. Ever heard of electrolytes? You know, stuff like potassium? Sodium? Calcium? Magnesium? Yeah. Your heart relies on a certain balance of electrolytes to function properly. If the levels are too low, or high, it can throw off the electrical impulses within the heart and cause arrhythmias, AKA you can DIE.

One reason why staying hydrated is so important! Dehydration messes up your electrolytes! Working out… Not eating/drinking enough… PURGING… All contribute to dehydration. (With that being said, don’t drink too much water either, as that messes with levels too.)

Simply google something like “eating disorders and cardiac arrest” and read that shit.

No matter what size you are, if you have an eating disorder, you are NOT protected from death.

I repeat…

NO MATTER WHAT SIZE YOU ARE, IF YOU HAVE AN EATING DISORDER, YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED FROM DEATH!!!

“If you want to stay alive, stay over 15.” ??? Give me a damn break. How about this— if you want to stay alive, get HELP before it’s too late!

Eat Strawberries, Not Laxatives

Strawberries pack a lot of fiber and, when paired with some water, literally always make me poop

Also, they’re 2-6 calories each (2=tiny; 4=medium; 6=monster) so 10 normal sized strawberries are only 40 cal!

Laxatives are awful for your digestive system and you can become dependent. Use strawberries instead! They give you an energy boost, are super filling, low-cal, and will make you poop

this is for everyone 5'7" + and whose lowest weight cannot be double digits or they’ll die

  • we will never be able to fit into an xxs or xs BUT we can finally fit into smalls
  • having an UGW lower than 100 is impossible for us because we’d literally die before getting there
  • you can change your weight but not your height, so when you become skinny your legs will go on for miles
  • we might not be the girl getting a piggy back ride regardless of our weight, just because of our size
  • when there isn’t enough room in the car we might not be the girl to sit on another girls lap bc our legs are just too long
  • restricting to ~100 cal a day is REALLY bad for us bc we’re supposed to get over 2000 cal

some times the ana/mia community can leave out the tall/bigger people

know you are still loved and deserve to be skinny just as much as everyone else on here!

How to ACCURATELY calculate calories burned while working out!

We have all seen those cute “easy 100 calorie workout” posts. But sadly, those calories burned aren’t always accurate to what your weight it. A person who weighs 180 pounds is going to burn more calories than someone who weighs 135 pounds. So I’ve done the math behind how to get a perfect count

KEY THINGS TO REMEMBER

• Each workout has their own level of intensity which will therefore burn different amounts of calories

• To get an accurate count, each exercise must be done for a full minute without stopping.

HOW TO CALCULATE

• Each exercise below has a matching decimal

• Take the decimal associated with whatever exercise you did and multiply it by your current body weight

• That number will tell you how many calories you burned in one minute of that exercise

Squats~ .096

Push-ups~ .037

Crunches~ .022

Planking~ .022

Jumping jacks~ .037

Arm Circles~ .007

Mountain climbers~ .059

Lunges~ .059

Donkey/Back kicks~ .030

Walking~ .014

Running/sprinting~ .096

Stairs/ Stair climber~ .044

Weight Lifting~ .022

Box jumps~ .096

Burpees~ .059

EXAMPLE

For a 135 pound person- one minute of burpees will burn roughly 8 calories a minute

For a 180 pound person- one minute of burpees will burn roughly 11 calories a minute

I hope this helped any confusion of how to accurately count calories with out the use of a Fitbit, calorie tracker app, or just guessing. Happy exercising!

The one that has to move out of the way when walking, the one people ignore in groups, the one that doesnt really have any best friends just all mutual, that person who will do anything and get nothing in return, the one that is always lonely but wants to make people believe their happy, that they aren’t dying inside, the one that makes people laugh just to have a good feeling?
