I play softball for 2 reasons. 1. I love it. I couldn't imagine my life without it. 2. My mother played in college, and when i was little, she would make me her bear league team mascot. She was an incredible catcher, but an even more incredible moment. She passes away suddenly when i was 3. SO when i play softball, i feel as though she's behind the plate, rooting for me. When i pitch, shes there catching the ball. I dont care if it sounds strange. Its my connection and i love it.

I miss the days where I would dance around my room, sing in the shower, I miss smiling for no reason at all. Now, instead I lay in bed all day, sob in the shower so no one will hear, drink to forget my own name, drug myself to sleep in hopes that I won’t be haunted by you again tonight.

today i realized that its better this way. you have to get hurt to appreciate the good days. you have to fall down to learn to pick yourself back up. all the bullshit thats been thrown at me has made me stronger. because now i have the ability to appreciate the good in every situation, I’m supposed to lose friends, people are supposed to break my heart. this way ill learn how to put myself back together.
