Holding your partner’s hand in public can really be difficult sometimes, it’s quite easy to feel like you have to let go. Especially when creeps like to stare. But sometimes you can get nice responses too. Especially the smiles, those warm and supportive ones. (Best one - one random person once told us “I wish you a lot of happiness in your life”, it was weird but so sweet.)
Okay so this made me sob
There is nothing more powerful or soothing or comforting or loving than simply holding hands. There is nothing that denotes companionship on a very basic level. We should all be able to hold hands in public with those we love. All of us.
