  • Persephone, queen of the Underworld; wife of Hades and goddess of spring growth
  • Hecate was the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy.
  • Thanatos, god of death
  • Hypnos was the god or personified spirit (daimon) of sleep.
  • Hermes ,The guide of the dead who led the ghosts to their final resting place in Hades
  • Macaria, goddess of the blessed death
  • Melinoe, goddess (daemon)  of propitiation’s to the ghosts of the dead
  • Angelos, Not much is known about her  She was referred to as “She of the Underworld”
  • Eris was the goddess or personified spirit (daimona) of strife, discord, contention and rivalry.

  • Orphne An underworld nymph, the wife of the river Acheron.

Moirai

  • Clotho, “spinner” spun the thread of life from her Distaff onto her Spindle.
  • Lachesis, “allotter” or drawer of lots, measured the thread of life allotted to each person with her measuring rod
  • Atropos, inexorable" or “inevitable”, literally “unturning”, was the cutter of the thread of life. She chose the manner of each person’s death; and when their time was come, she cut their life-thread with “her abhorred shears”

Daemon

This only includes Daemons who are primarily underworld based so this list does not include beings like Nike, Eros, and other  personified spirits of the human condition (which is what greek daemons tended to be)

  • Amphiaraus  The prophetic Daemon of a subterranean oracle at Oropus in Boeotia.
  • Arae (Arai) The underworld Daemones of curses
  • Ascalaphus (Askalaphos) An underworld Daemon who tended the orchards of Hades
  • Ceuthonymus (Keuthonymos) A mysterious underworld Daemon. He was the father of Hades cattleman Menoetes.
  • Charon (Kharon) An underworld Daemon who ferried the souls of the dead across the streams of Acheron into Hades.
  • Eris was the goddess or personified spirit (daimona) of strife, discord, contention and rivalry.
  • Empusa (Empousa) A monstrous underworld Daemon with flaming hair, the leg of a goat and a leg of bronze.
  • Epiales The underworld Daemon of nightmares.
  • Eurynomus (Eurynomos) An underworld Daemon who stripped the flesh from the corpses of the dead. He was described with blue-black skin and was possibly imagined with a vulture’s head.
  • Melinoe A frightful underworld Daemon who led ghosts forth from the underworld to haunt the earth. One side of her body was coloured pitch black, the other was stark white.
  • Menoetes (Menoites) An underworld Daemon who herded the black-skinned cattle of Hades. He was wrestled by Heracles who cracked his ribs.

  • Trophonius (Trophonios) The Daemon of the subterranean oracle of Lebadea in Boeotia.

Creatures

  • Cerberus the gigantic, three-headed hound of Hades which guarded the gates of the underworld and prevented the escape of the shades of the dead.

remember way back in 2006 when the wii first came out and then the entirety of the world forgot how to hold onto something with a firm grasp so much that nintendo had to make a shock absorbing condom just so that tvs wouldnt get destroyed when people would end up sending this thing flying at their tvs at 900 miles per hour

A lot of those incidents were with Wii Bowling, which to me implies that people didn’t so much forget to how to hold something, as they forgot they weren’t holding a bowling ball and weren’t in a bowling alley.

Palmistry is an art of reading the hands. It is believed that everyone in this world has a destiny, which can be determined by analyzing the lines, rings and mounts on one’s hand. Out of these, lines and rings on the hand of a person are more important in context with palmistry-

1. Life Line Life line is obviously the most important line that can be found on the hand. By analysing it, one can determine how long will the bearer live and the ups and downs that he will face in his life.  It starts below the mount of Jupiter (below index figure) and passes through the mount of Venus.

2. Head Line Brain is considered to be one of the most important organs of the body and line of head could tell how intelligent is the bearer of the line of head is expected to be. A long and straight line reflects a practical man whereas a curvy line of head means that the person is more creative than practical. It starts below mount of Jupiter and passes straight dividing the palm.

3. Heart Line Line of Heart is situated above the Line of Head and it determines the emotional level of a person. A short line indicates possibility of a heart attack and a complete absence of Line of Heart means that the person has no emotions in him and is likely to be of a criminal nature.

4. Fate Line The line of fate determines the fortune of a person. A straight and unbroken line of fate means that the person will be lucky in this life while a broken line of fate means that the person is likely to see lots of misfortunes during his life.

6. Health Line Line of health is situated below the mount of mercury (under the little finger). It can determine the health of a person and generally, it is considered as a good sign, if this line is light or is not present at all; such a person is expected to live a healthy and ailment free life.

7. Marriage Line It is a small line situated just above the line of heart at the corner of the mount of mercury. One can have one of more line of marriage. The stronger lines represent marriage relationship while the lighter ones reflect affairs. An absence of line of marriage would mean that the person will not get married in this life.

8. Ring of Saturn It is in shape of a half moon and it surrounds the middle finger. The person, who has such a ring, is expected to be of a very serious nature and someone who likes to live alone. Generally, it is not considered a good sign to have such a ring on the hand.
