Erica Goldson must have had some serious balls to give this speech
This is beautiful.
this is so wonderful
This hit hard. Our education system is desperately in need of fixing.
Better to throw it out and start over
"[A]ctually Caucasoid, Mongoloid and Negroid – there’s no such thing. These are so-called anthropological terms that were put together by anthropologists who were nothing but agents of the colonial powers, and they were purposely given that status, they were purposely given such scientific positions, in order that they could come up with definitions that would justify the European domination over the Africans and the Asians. So immediately they invented classifications that would automatically demote these people or put them on a lesser level. All of the Caucasoids are on a high level, the Negroids are kept at a low level. This is just plain trickery that their scientists engage in in order to keep you and me thinking that we never were anything, and therefore he’s doing us a favor as he lets us step upward or forward in his particular society or civilization."

I’m obsessed with Drag Race Down Under. I started thinking what looks I’d do that combines drag and Australiana, if I was a drag queen or designer. I’m neither, but can draw, so here you go. Feel free to steal these looks and rake in millions.
tw: rape
I'm seeing more #NotAllMen stuff recently. The thing I've always found odd about it is that ... feminists have been saying that from day one, right?
That's partially why they use the word "patriarchy". It's this complex SYSTEM that is the problem, Not All Men. The problem is any man, woman or other person who props up this SYSTEM. Some men are doing great stuff to weaken this system. Some women are doing crap stuff to perpetuate this system. The problem is "patriarchy and whoever feeds it", Not All Men.
Also...
Feminists have fought forever to make the point that Not All Men are inherently gross sex pests. In fact, none of them are. When patriarchy spits out this idea that 'he couldn't help himself, she was passed out' or 'men are just naturally like this' etc, it's feminists who have always said big and loud: 'No, men aren't naturally awful rapist dickheads. They totally have the capacity to be decent amazing people who treat women great. We need more men like that and less weird excuses for this stuff.’
"Not All Men are rapists" seems to me like Feminism 101.
(This is, obviously, very condensed. Also, feudalism looked different in different European nations. Here, I’m focusing more on Britain. It wasn’t the first place to introduce modern capitalism but is a big part of the story.)
“Trump lost the election because of his handling of the pandemic, the top issue for 41% of voters, who chose Biden by a nearly 3-1 margin. But among people whose top concern was the economy — 28% of the electorate — Trump won an incredible 80% of the vote. All of this points to a dramatic change. Trump may not have done much, politically, to deserve the support of Black, Latino, LGBTQ, and female voters. But the Democrats’ conspicuous refusal to address economic inequality and other class issues in a meaningful way created an opening.”
