helo its me again*! what are your favourite ideas/headcanons for the Lime caste? :0 || ive been working on a set of 12 trolls and i'm in need of some general ideas for some of them hehe (*you've seen me before, but ive given myself a callsign now!) ~🐉

oh hi, good to have you back! i just went with general headcanons/history for this one

the Lime Caste:

• trolls withe lime colored blood were pretty common in the old days, being no rarer than a gold or an olive. this puts them in a working/lower class, just below the middle class.

• i’m personally quite in favor of the headcanon that lime-bloods were wiped out because they were too powerful, and a threat to the empire

• the power in question being healing and calming powers, especially useful to soothe and pacify capricious highbloods

• the alternian empire (i.e, the heiress) wants highbloods to be murderous and unstable, so as to “keep lowbloods in check”. trolls are repeatedly exposed to extreme propaganda, most of it relating to how certain castes are supposed to behave, wether that’s being rampageous or rather docile, their brains are constantly fed these stereotypes and are essentially locked into their fates

• this is why the lime-blood ability to soothe these “urges” in higherbloods are especially detrimental to the heiress’ plans

• after their caste has been wiped of the face of the planet, trolls/grubs with their hue continue to be hatched. these grubs are killed on sight, only extremely rarely being able to escape.

• their blood is then used to produce slime, its soothing capabilities mixed with the planets natural resources producing the perfect pacifying material to put in recuperacoons, in sofas and pillows, and any soft platform which purpose is to relax the troll

• trolls become dependent on these calming reactions, led to believe they’ll suffer extreme horrorterrors without it. eating the slime/blood, as we know, has a relaxing effect as well, seemingly drugging the person who consumed it
