since i’m like never here anymore (sorry, life is hectic;-;) here’s another update!

some friends and i just moved into an apartment!! i’m finally on my own (technically, not living with a parent) again and it’s only been a few days but so far it’s been super awesome! i haven’t had a single migraine in the time that we’ve been here, koda is LOVING being able to roam the entire apartment and getting attention from my roommates, and it’s so nice being able to be MYSELF.

i’m still working on getting unpacked and we’re getting the apartment put away still, but it’s all coming together well and we’re really happy with it. hoping soon we’ll be able to have some friends over for a housewarming party. :)

(if anyone would be interested in donating a couple bucks so i can get a new bedframe and not be sleeping on my mattress on the concrete floor for the next couple weeks that would be cool! venmo is joiwanrene and paypal is pontmergay)

Knowing that there are people who live and thrive in Los Angeles is like hearing about those animals that live at the bottom of the Mariana Trench or in hydrothermal vents or the fungi that live in the Chernobyl reactor core. I mean, yeah I guess good for them if that works, but it's still kinda mindblowing.

Being nearsighted makes sense to me, it’s like having a render distance. The concept that some people are farsighted scares me, what do you mean you can’t see things the closer they are to you

Ok here's a thing: works of genre fiction don't need to have non-genre elements to be worthwhile actually

Working examples:

- comedies don't need to have dramatic elements in them to be considered good. Having serious emotional content in a comedy doesn't make it better than other comedies, just different.

- children's fiction doesn't have to appeal to adults to be good. Sometimes a work is designed to appeal specifically & only to children and that's just fine.

- horror films don't need to have idk. More serious, cinematic elements to be good. As w the above comedy example, doesn't make them automatically better, just different.

me when i'm happy: i deserve a little treat

me when i'm sad: fuck it i deserve a little treat

me when i'm neutral: you know what'd make this day so much better........a lil treat

OMG That is so cute!!

Also the reason that the cat did this is actually because they are mirroring their owner. If their owner treats the thing (or in this case book) with respect and has made it very clear with their actions that the thing is important the cat will take notice and mirror this behavior!

Great addition! However, this is actually because the cat is Muslim.
