What's the worst pain you've ever felt?

mega man legends 3 being canceled

BRING HIM BACK COWARDS

Are there any plans to translate SLARPG into more languages?

Avatar

i would be open to the idea, but there are no solid plans for this at the moment. a translation into any language would be no small undertaking

for one, it would require manually combing through every event and replacing every single text box in the game one by one, as the version of rpg maker slarpg was made in doesn't feature any kind of script dump feature. (in many other modern games, the script and its translations just exist in a big excel spreadsheet. not the case here!) there would also be no easy way to switch between languages in-game, and they'd more than likely have to be maintained as entirely separate builds. this would, in turn, mean that every bug fix and update the game ever gets would need to be repeated across every alternate language build. it would also mean needing to offer technical support and whatnot in other languages, which is not something i can do on my own

the game also lives and dies by the quality of its dialogue, and it's difficult for me to vet the people who email me offering to do translations when i can't read these languages. especially when the game is all about queer characters, a well-meaning translator could easily make things read as more derogatory if they aren't as familiar with these things, and i would have no way to proof read it myself

that's not to say that this is an impossible undertaking, of course. but this is why it hasn't happened yet, despite people showing interest. i only have so much bandwidth

RIP to the two people whose brazen thirst posts about live action sanji got put on blast for the entire site to see in the sponsored tab lmao

So does Claire like, wear pants, or are those just absurdly long socks? Does she wear a full-body morphsuit under her dress for some reason?

they're leggings

i don't know what the one piece fandom is like at large but do you think people will lust after live action buggy and his pigtails.

not judging.

i hope so

Is the fact that Claire uses fire spells a reference to how much cows contribute to global warming by producing methane gas?

claire having fire spells is not a reference to farting, no

sorry but the wording of that last ask is really funny. the assumption that the site held me down and forcibly gave me a straw hat badge as part of a marketing stunt and that i didn't just click the button to get one because i'm a one piece fan and i think it's funny to have a little hat next to my username

(don’t feel like you have to respond cause frankly the marketing doesn’t deserve attention) but why the hell is did the site put a straw hat next to your name. are you like. one piece certified now

luffy came to my island and asked me to join his crew. he said he regretted not asking carrot as soon as they left wano and he wasn't gonna pass up a second opportunity to get some more furry rep on the sunny

Do you have the ability and/or desire to release a plush toy of your fursona? I think she's very cute and your "toon" design of her would work great as a plush toy tbh. Sorry if this is out of nowhere.

thank you! i've had interest shown in slarpg plushes but this might be the first time someone's said they wanted one of my fursona lol

anyway, i'm not opposed to the idea, the problem is just that i hate the whole makeship business model, which is the go-to way for people to mass produce plushes of their OCs. this is the same reason why i haven't done any slarpg plushes through them or similar sites. i hate that it's a super limited time thing where if people don't preorder a plush in a span of like three weeks, either because they didn't have the money or because they missed the announcement or because they only became a fan later or any other reason, then they just never get one. i don't begrudge artists who have done these sorts of campaigns, but i wouldn't want to do that myself. that's just not the kind of relationship i want to have with the people who like my work

also with makeship in particular there have been some horror stories about them snubbing artists who happen to do any kind of adult content on the side (nsfw art, modeling, etc.), which is a whole 'nother can of worms that makes me want to avoid them

Are the Harpy Monks in SLARPG sapient? They appear to have their own civilization and culture. It seems kinda fucked up if the party basically goes into a national park and kicks the shit out of some Native Americans.

they are sentient. they're basically just a variant of bird beast folk. the specific harpy monk enemies seen in the game are a clan of martial artists from out of town who have decided to make that region of the mountains near greenridge their personal training grounds, testing out their moves on random passersby who enter "their turf." this is more or less explained in their bestiary entries

Are unicorns common in the SLARPG world or is Faith a special girl? Dragons certainly aren't and I don't see a lot of other anthro mythical animals either.

faith actually isn't any more magical than other equine beast folk. there's a nod to this in some obscure text in a place i assume 99% of players won't check. i could say more about her nature as a unicorn, but i think it's more fun to sit on it and save it for an actual story rather than just explaining things in a tumblr ask

R I S E

after far too long, i've finally resurrected my music blog!

i'll be posting stuff from SLARPG and susan taxpayer here, as well as WIPs and other updates along the way. this space will essentially be my professional "music-only" blog; everything i post there will be reblogged here, but if you're only interested in my work, this is the place to go. stay tuned :)

i have to admit... i'm letting myself get excited about live action one piece now. i've been SO skeptical about it for years, for all of the reasons you're already thinking. when it was first announced i was like "wow, this will probably be another trainwreck, but hopefully it's at least an entertaining one." obviously cowboy bebop did not help build confidence. but every new thing i see in the previews makes me more and more into it

whether it's seeing more of the main cast's performances to get a better feel for them, or the goofy supporting character designs that have been perfectly transposed from the manga without chickening out, or the beautifully weird looking transponder snails, or hearing the massive amount of input oda had throughout... it just looks like they're doing it right! it's refreshing to have one of these adaptations where even when you hear they changed stuff it's just, like... normal changes for an adaptation? things getting shuffled around a little, or a supporting character absorbing another character's role, and not like "they made goku an american high school student." and now we're getting reactions from people who've seen it early and they're really positive, against all odds

like. did this NEED to exist? no. but i'm shocked at how fun and faithful and competently made it looks as a companion piece to the manga. i'm still bracing myself for the very real possibility that it's just mediocre, but i really, really hope it's as fun as it looks
