If didn’t see staff post, basically you can now officially blacklist tags within the app. Since many are mobile users here’s how to find the filter. Above is showing that it indeed works. (tagging in anti tag only for information purpose that’s it) Staff didn’t provide visual so here’s one

I didn’t realise you can now blacklist on mobile so there’s now literally no excuse now. If there’s something people don’t want to see specifically they should utilise this system. People can’t use the excuse now that they use mobile

The motion to repeal Net Neutrality has been passed in a 3-2 vote

Before everyone loses their shit, I will like to urge everyone to talk a deep breath and focus on the following:

1: This cannot go into immediate effect.

2: There is still many issues that WILL be addressed by the Congress, Supreme Court, and many other government officials have a current say in the false comments, stolen idenities, denial of public hearings, and many other issues that the FCC did not address.

3: CALL. YOUR. OFFICALS. Do NOT give up, just because the vote has passed, don’t you DARE stop. Make this shit go front-page, make some NOISE.

DO. NOT. STOP.

i just saw a post saying ppl wont be able to talk to their internet friends if net neutrality is repealed and ppl rly need to stop making misinformational posts

bad things that will happen if net neutrality is repealed

  • companies will be able to censor information and effectively shut down websites of social movements they disagree with, such as BLM or planned parenthood
  • small website owners (such as independent artists who have their own websites for hosting webcomics) will have to pay more to keep those websites hosted
  • many controversial and small websites such as i just listed will lose their platforms
  • internet monopolies will increase in number and become harder to challenge, such as how youtube has a monopoly on video sharing.

things that will NOT happen

  • consumers who don’t own websites having to pay more to access the internet / parts of the internet
  • the internet ending
  • most of the things in the posts going around tumblr

here is a post with more information. net neutrality is very important, but please stop spreading alarmist misinformation.

Anonymous asked:

Net neutrality is being destroyed. The vote was 3-2. Godofkskfkskfkskckskckskxsoc. Will this affect you?

It’ll affect my ability to shitpost about fictional characters all over the Internet and make like 90 cents from sticker sales on my Redbubble (and my ability to screech with people around the world about these fictional characters), but that’s the tiniest and most microscopic bread crumb compared to the bigger implications this decision could have on a free and open Internet.

But this fight isn’t over yet. Already the New York Attorney General and others are preparing to sue in order to fight the repeal of Net Neutrality in court. Congress has the power to overturn this decision, and I just have to believe that if enough of us raise our voices (especially given what just happened in AL), they will listen.

Please visit this site for information about how you can join the fight.

when guys are like “girls over [relatively low weight] shouldn’t wear [revealing article of clothing]” a lot of the time they are trying to get women above that weight to say “OH REALLY?” and post a picture of themselves looking good in that article of clothing. It’s a creepy power play designed to prey on both women’s confidence and their insecurities and trick them into posting revealing pictures of themselves for the sexual gratification of men who they otherwise wouldn’t have given the time of day. It’s a sleazy pick-up artist tactic. It’s negging. When you see an all-too-common post that’s like “bigger girls shouldn’t wear bikinis” and the response is him getting “owned” because a woman replied with pictures of herself looking beautiful, he’s not getting owned at all, he’s getting exactly the result he was hoping for. They’re basically saying “You sure showed me by sending me, a huge sexist creep, a picture of yourself in a bikini! PLEASE don’t send me nudes, I don’t know if I could take the humiliation!”

The scary thing is that I’ve had a guy admit this to me. He said something about “fat girls always have ugly tits”. I am fat and a girl. I said “no, they don’t.” He said “prove it”. When I made it clear that a) I had nothing to prove, b) why the fuck am I gonna care about some beanpole-in-a-meme-shirt’s opinion?, and c) I wasn’t EVER gonna send him shit, he went crazy. Straight up admitted that the technique always worked blah blah, I must have been a dude pretending to be a girl blah blah, and basically had a temper tantrum till I blocked him.

So 100% guys that do this are garbage and even if they’re not, remember that you don’t have to prove anything to anyone.

“YOU DON’T HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING TO ANYONE” ^^^^^^^
