No but it really can be this simple sometimes.

The “enrichment in the enclosure” meme has a lot of truth to it. We need to shake things up a bit to keep happy. It doesn’t have to be big, but if you ever feel stagnant or a little bluh try going on a walk on a route you haven’t been in or something. It really does help.

‘bread is bad for you’ ‘rice is bad for you’ sorry im not subscribing to the idea that staple grains that have been integral to cultures for centuries are evil. i love you carbs

sometimes I feel bad about not having a life and then I remember I’ve never hung out outside of a building a celebrity is in to try to catch a glimpse of them for 5 seconds and I’m like. oh. I’m actually doing fine

This site's tolerance and acquiescence to incest is so fucking insane like "I don't support it but my mutual is cool so I'll allow it" "richard siken's artistic contributions to society absolve him" "ethel cain can ship whatever, she's earned it" like I'm not going to lie to you it's kinda looking like you do support it...

this post is perfect because it hits that sweet spot of being able to destroy my notifications with pissed off people forever BUT also being controversial enough that people who agree with this won't reblog it either so it's never breaching containment and I live in peace

it is however totally okay to reblog btw

“Abolish Golf”

Sticker spotted in Chicago, Illinois.

A typical golf course uses 200 million gallons of water a year. There are over 16,300 golf courses in the United States.

That's nuts.

Ngl I hate golf and I'm all for this. They put a golf course in our public park at the expense of hundreds of centuries-old live oak trees. Half of the walk around the park you're just looking at an empty golf course. Like 2 people want to play golf. So annoying.

Golf was a game developed in Scotland, where it rains up to 250 days of the year, and where the courses use very hard-wearing grass. The sand in the bunkers is because it used to be played on the coast - these traditional courses are called "Links" courses. The top Links course in Scotland, Royal Dornoch, uses no mains water at all. They have their own rainwater collection system.

It wasn't originally intended to be played in the middle of a desert on lush green turf that takes thousands of gallons of water a day to maintain. Unless you can keep the course alive using only rainwater collection, it shouldn't exist.

I also feel like it's important to remind people of the realities of the prison industrial complex, not just the numbers.

Imprisonment is not something casual; it's being locked up in a concrete box for years and even decades, seeing your children grow up through bulletproof glass, being charged for rent and books and toothpaste and calls and everything else, being forced into literal slavery, and almost always being violently abused by both your fellow inmates and the guards who are supposed to keep you safe.

You can be sent to prison while your partner is pregnant and not even get to see your child's graduation photos because your mail was confiscated.

If your opinion is if you hate the urban environment of your city just move to one of these 10 cities in the US or move to Europe. I hate you.

Also if you think every queer person in a small town should move to NYC and that's the only way for them to be happy, go fuck a streetlamp and get hit by a bus

In general I hate anyone who suggests "just move" as an easy and fast solution to all of life's problems

the way some people here talk about writing (or i suppose creating in general) makes me so sad sometimes. you need to fall in love with the act of writing too, not just the satisfaction of having written. creation isn't supposed to feel like a chore until it's done. don't you ever feel giddy to sit in front of a blank piece of paper? its an invitation. its waiting for you. every process is so different that i don't know how to make you enjoy yours, i just hope you'll get there. art has to be about more than the presentation of your finished piece

I dont actually care what people call themselves like it's none of my business but yall have got to realize that saying "actually gay people can totally fuck people of the opposite gender" isn't really a radical statement when gay people are constantly being pressured by cishets to do exactly that

like i 100% understand that sexuality can be really complicated for some people. i am one of those people, so trust me i get it, but you've gotta stop making posts about how its totally cool and radical for lesbians to fuck men or for gay men to fuck women and then getting mad when gay people are understandably very fucking uncomfortable with that concept

didnt think i was gonna have to say this but terfs do not fucking reblog and also explode thanks

I’m tired of advertising. All of it. I don’t want any ads even for things I like. Even if I would 100% buy it. It’s INSANE that we just accept that people can throw a business flier in our face at any time of day in any setting. Aren’t you mad? Don’t you just want to go apeshit?

first it was girls' locker rooms vs boys' locker rooms then it was the feminine urge to vs the masculine urge to now it's girl dinner vs boy dinner when will it end when will we escape i feel like maybe some of you guys dont even want to escape doesnt anyone else want to escape
