Pokémon!

@pokemon-doodles / pokemon-doodles.tumblr.com

Hello there, trainer!
This is my Pokemon art blog! Now closed, please check my pinned post for my reasoning, thank you for your support and interest!

Hello everyone, I have unfortunate news to tell you all that I no longer plan to upload or work on this blog anymore. I am no longer that interested in Pokémon or this blog anymore unfortunately. I’m so sorry to disappoint you all, and have let you all wait for so long for new content/posts, but thank you so much for supporting me for this long, it means a lot and I’m very grateful for it! I’ll be keeping this blog up as an archive for my artwork.

I hope you all had a happy holidays and a happy (and better) new year! I hope you all stay healthy as well!

ps. I actually made this in mspaint as a nod to my old account named mspokedraws if I recall (shoutout to those who remember it!)

so i just saw your post about being kinda burnt out on pokémon and i get that. maybe you could try and incorporate animal crossing in there somehow? you're really talented at making designs best of luck! have a great day! - rat anon

Ah, maybe. I can probably do it as an event although i’m not so sure, as i’m a bit busy right now, maybe in the future! I did think about doing just Nintendo stuff in general, since i’m also a big fan of Kirby, but i’ll sit on that thought for now. But thank you so much for being considerate of me, I appreciate it a bunch anon!

Anonymous asked:

would you do comms of pokemon ocs?

Hello! I am currently not accepting pokemon commissions at the moment, but when i do, it'll depend! I'd like to see the OC design first before making a decision, but thank you for your interest!

 This is also the perfect time to mention that i'm cancelling the gacha commissions as i'll be moving to just regular pokemon commissions (they'll be priced a bit higher though). I might open them this Sunday!

Do you have a pixel tutorial? 🥺👉👈

Hello, anon! You weren’t really specific with your ask, but I assume you mean’t how to draw pixel art. If this wasn’t what you meant, please don’t hesitate to send another more specific ask!

Please note that pixel art is not my main art style, so I am not an expert in pixel art. I’m just using my regular art skills but substituting it with a pixel brush/tool rather than my regular brushes/tools.

Canvas size doesn’t usually matter, since you can always just crop to make them smaller. For my pixel Pokemon art, the canvas sizes are usually around 200px-400px.

This is how I normally do my art process. This is the exact same process that I do with my non-pixel art (or lineless art in general).

There are also techniques that are pixel only such as dithering, which I've covered a bit here! Also, here is a way to scale your pixel art, since images under 500px are rather small.

Again, I’m not an expert in pixel art, so I suggest you do your own research if you want more information.
