Weren't Ladybug and Chat Noir partners? Wasn't the entire season 4 about Ladybug trying to act as the only one responsible of everything and failing? Didn't they establish in Strike Back that Ladybug needed Chat Noir's support?
Why omit all that now?
I love to see a gender roles reversal in the damsel in distress trope, but I'd love more to see Chat Noir actually somewhere in the finale too.
