It means unreal. Magical. Visionary. Wildly fanciful. Highly unrealistic.

Just a friendly reminder:

Anyone can follow me. I won’t tell anyone to get off my blog. Y’all welcome here as long as you come in good faith.

But the instant a follower of mine puts harassment on another post, out the door they go. I won’t stand for that.

Looks like it’s winged horse o’ clock!

Good thing I spent the first half of my life being a horse girl (in drawings only lol) because I’m pretty damn rusty otherwise.

I think one of the goals of society should be that someone who requires expensive medicine and a lot of care can live an amazing life, the longest life they possibly can, with dignity, even if they have no friends or family or anyone who cares enough about them to help. the goals of a society should be to make life better than if we are alone, society should want life to be as good as possible for as many people as possible, and those goals should account for people not having social support networks.

social life aside, the most hated or ignored person in town should be able to live as good and fair and just of a life as the most loved person in town. survival needs to stop being a popularity contest.

today's funky frog of the day is the green frog (Lithobates clamitans) - this stunning example is a blue morph, caused by a lack of yellow pigment in the skin! this is one of the most common frogs in eastern north america, and show some diversity in their coloration, although usually not as intensely blue as this fellow.

I definitely expected the cave barklice to be the kind of bugs that run and hide when I open the container but they are actually pretty chill just walking around their cardboard city eating Stuff

funniest thing about the “reddit migration” is that I haven’t seen a single post shitting on anyone coming from Reddit. when twitter started bleeding users everyone was firing rent-lowering posts but with redditors skittering about we’ve left the doors open and put out food bowls

so my apartment building got a notice board to post fire alarm tests and maintenance announcements and such. the building is pretty well-maintained, so we rarely get notices. the board is big and grey and to think it would be empty like that 99% of the time was a bland boring sin i just couldn't bear, so i vandalized the corner of its empty canvas with a teeny tiny Guy

and within a few days, there was a sudden addition from my one of my neighbors along with a Bunch of thumbtacks. this was an unexpected, but welcome surprise!

well there was still so much space, i figured i'd add another crumb to the art hoard. i'd been playing genshin that day so i drew my favorite grandpa

and like clockwork, new art manifested!! this person is gonna grow to be a great artist i know it. the detail in those stones? hell yeah that's cool.

we're two weeks into it. more neighbors have joined in with their artwork. who knew there were so many artists in my building?? we're onto somethin great here i just know it.

update: ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS DREW VENTI TO GO WITH MY GENSHIN GRANDPA I'M —

WHO DID THIS

i am retaliating i NEED to know who did this

The #RedditBlackout hashtag started trending on Twitter after the blackout began, with more than 4,238 tweets associated with the term as of Monday. Reddit was trending with more than 112,000 searches on the social media platform. Twitter users as early as 9 a.m. noticed that Reddit was experiencing technical issues. [...] Although the website resumed functioning almost two hours after the early reports of an outage, a coalition of Reddit moderators and users continue to engage in a standoff with the company Monday and Tuesday. More than 7,808 unique subreddits planned to participate in the blackout starting Monday, with the largest being r/funny, a community with more than 40 million users, according to an index by r/ModCoor. Around 7,260 subreddits are private as of Monday afternoon, according to a real-time stream of the protest on Twitch.

I'm laughing so hard over here. Of all the social networks to think they can get in a standoff with the userbase and win, lol.

The thing that makes any social network work is community. Subreddits are platform agnostic, and the mods have huge amounts of power. If they decamp somewhere else, Reddit users are the best poised to follow. Because they don't feel trapped in the system the way Facebook or even Twitter users might. Because they show up to their subs for the subs, not because their families are there or because they have so many photos uploaded to the memories or even the personal connections.

I eagerly await what happens next. Cuz if Reddit execs think their platform is the necessary part of Reddit they're about to get schooled.
