”I once sat in a graduate writing workshop on relationships to the land. The students all demonstrated a deep respect and affection for nature. They said the nature was the place where they experienced the greatest sense of belonging and well-being. They professed without reservation that they loved the earth. And then I asked them, ”Do you think that the earth loves you back?” No one was willing to answer that. It was as if I had brought a two-headed porcupine into the classroom. Unexpected. Prickly. They backed slowly away. Here was a room full of writers, passionately wallowing on unrequited love of nature.”

And is there Honey Still for Tea? by Jay Tryfanstone w/ Art by Dualbunny 19,090 words | 202 pages Completed December 30, 2022

Completely a bonus that my fingernail polish matched this :D

Ever since I learned about fanbinding, I knew I'd have to bind this. It's such an unlikely, macabre little gem about Pooh & friends learning about the horrors of war, told in the style of A. A. Milne, with one incredible Pooh-like companion illustration. I had a great time using this Pooh font to match.

The cover papers are hand-marbled by me, and the endpapers are too! The latter was made at the end of a marbling session when I was draining the carrageenan and couldn't resist doing one pull of the fantastic colors left in the vat. You can see the angle at which the tank was draining :) When I saw the result I knew it was perfect for this fic.

Philippine Book Festival 2023 Haul! ✨ | Out of all the book fests/fairs I've attended, this was my favourite! I've yet to go through my photos and videos from the event, so flatlay muna for now.

This tweet is just... Odd. Very odd.

Like... You live like this? You write like this? You think like this??

I want to be absolutely clear that, when I write an alcoholic character, it's because I think that alcohol addiction and drinking to excess are cool. Just like when I write a criminal, I'm trying to persuade you, the reader, to take up a life of larceny and murder. Just so long as that's understood.

Oh good, because that's 100% the message I take from fictional media. For instance, I watched Hannibal for recipes and relationship advice.

celebrating saint lucia’s day with flat white, reading glitch feminism 🌷 so excited for the holidays, i still have so much to do in the next few days but i think i will survive 😂
