I hate to be the one to tell you this but I have been actively extremely horny since I hit puberty when I was like twelve years old. Human development does not work like "absolutely zero impure thoughts until you reach the designated legal sex age, where you have until 25 to finally learn what a boob is, and then 25+ you're allowed to have consensual sex 😊 because 19-25-year-olds are basically minors". I also can tell that the underlying idea in this ask is that I, and anyone who begins posting nsfw when they turn 18, was somehow "groomed" into it, when the fact of the matter is that I have been very naturally gay horny for years and waited until I was 18 to explicitly post about it because THAT'S how you keep yourself safe. You don't pretend to be a delicate sexless angel with the mind of a five-year-old who's never heard what sex is just because you're seventeen. I am a human being with sexual thoughts and I'm now a legal adult who is allowed to post about them. Realize that there is a difference between external adults "waiting until she's 18" and someone waiting until they themselves are 18 so they can go out and buy porn, which they've wanted to buy for years.
This is an extremely reductive, reactionary, infantilizing, and conservative way to speak to me. Don't even pretend you have progressive sexual politics if you think like this. Fuck yourself I'm so serious. No one ever speak to me this way again

well unfortunately it really fucking didn’t, is the thing
not enough people really know what credit is for, so it bears repeating:
if I see art I like and want to see more of it, Credit is what gets me to the artist so I can see more of it.
If I’m writing a novel and I see an art style that would be perfect for a cover design, credit is what gets me to the artist so I can pay them for a commission.
If I see something I know my partner would love, credit is what takes me to the website of the artist where I can buy a poster that the original artist gets paid for.
If I see Plagiarism, I need to know who to notify to stop stealing my art, and if they don’t who to report.
Most artists (even the ones with thousands of followers) have a hard time making a living off of art. Giving credit means giving a pathway to the source.

in general i would say that “it’s not fun if they’re totally unrecognisable” is my fandom thesis. like the point of fanfic etc is putting your favourite little guys in situations. where’s the appeal if they’ve been through so many fanon spin cycles that they’re barely even your guys anymore
loads of people are reblogging this like “this is why i don’t like AUs” and honestly this is not an anti AU post by any stretch of the imagination. if you think “alternate universe fic” = “completely unrecognisable characters” then love and light but you need to read some better AUs!! putting your little guys in a completely different setting or time period or making them baristas or racing drivers or pop stars or whatever doesn’t inherently render them unrecognisable and in fact the APPEAL of a well done AU fic is seeing how your favourite guys deal with a completely different set of circumstances. support your local wacky AU today x

For real though I may make jokes but YA is great and an absolutely valuable resource for tweens/teens and isn't completely represented by the love triangle romances it's become associated with (which tbh who cares if it does have that). YA includes Holes by Louis Sachar, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K Le Guin, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. And y'know I grew up reading a bunch of Sarah Dessen books, the Flowers in the Attic series, Thirteen Reasons Why, Twilight, Maximum Ride, etc etc and even though I probably wouldn't recommend those books now, they nurtured a love of reading that followed me afterwards!!! I'm grateful that people eventually realized that there is a tumultuous period between childhood and adulthood and gave that period of life a space in literature

I still get fucking pissed every time I see people complaining that Reki gets a lot of hurt/comfort / care in the fandom. You can be sad all you want about Langa but stop acting like people relating more to a different character/finding their struggles easier to write about is somehow this grave mistake that makes the fandom bad. Like shut the fuck UP omg. Reki is the MAIN protagonist. Watch the fucking show. There IS plenty of Langa angst out there maybe you're just so concerned with being upset at a little redheaded kid that you can't fucking find it.
Istg it's like people don't understand that you can like... feel bad for both characters who get into an argument without making one out to be The Bad Guy. "Reki left Langa without explanation:(" in Reki's depressed psych Langa ditched him/betrayed him in favor of skating with a random 20-30 year old man. That STILL doesn't make Langa a bad person the same way it doesn't make Reki a bad person for literally just being insecure.

Awe thanks for asking! Despite what my name would suggest, my favorite is a bumble bee. There is no deep reason, I just think they're the cutest one and they tend to be pretty friendly. I've only ever been stung twice and neither time was it a bumble bee so 10/10 on my list.
