I'm a songwriter and guitarist for All India Radio and Steve Kilbey/Martin Kennedy but before all that I was an aircraft fan. This blog consists whatever tickles my fancy from the internet, my amateur photos and scans from my aviation books.

Some maps from Logbook, Lufthansa's classy inflight magazine from my first overseas flight as a wide eyed adolescent in 1976 on a Lufthansa DC-10.

**Note my mothers handwriting recording the captains announcement that we're currently at 29,000 feet and that we'd be arriving at Bombay at 9.30 and taking on 6,310 gallons of kerosene.

Never know when that info might come in handy!

Logbook was Lufthansa's very classy inflight magazine in the 1970s. Informative with lots of pictures of aircraft (you don't get that anymore strangely!) Even the maps were classy. I kept it as a souvenir from my very first overseas flight as a wide eyed adolescent in January 1976 on a Lufthansa DC-10.

I know it's supposed to be a public display for us to marvel at but I can't help feeling sorry for the plane having to suffer the indignity of having two poles shoved up it's rear end.
