Little hope in a broken home

Nothing says I love you then a parent showing how unsuccessful you are at the moment. Brings me joy to hear how much you compare me to my sibling. Not to mention the the warmth I get every time you show me how in responsible of an adult you are. But I'm taught to love you and obey you not by law but by my culture in which I came from and in your mind culture is the law, it's almost as god's word. Knowing of how you feel towards me then I will disobey his word if it means getting away from all the negativity. So in this broken home we're love and compassion is no where to be found i lay at night brushing all those feels I get from you aside, for you may not have hope for me i and only I have a little.
