The Kandy Coated Kackles Master Post!

Its that time of year again, boils and ghouls! For those who don’t know, Kandy Coated Kackles is a series of Halloween mixes I’ve been making since 2011, though I’ve been collecting Halloween music for many years prior!  The first year I unearthed 13 volumes! Every year after that has been one or two.  Each volume has a rough theme and a variety of genres and age to all the music.  Sound bites from movies, shows, and commercials are spread in between the songs to create an enhanced atmosphere.  Every cover is drawn by me.  So here they are! Drench yourselves in Halloween!

The Net Neutrality issue summarized

You (or your parents) pay approx $40-$100 or higher for internet. 

So that you can all use youtube, google, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, etc. etc. etc. This isn’t limited to social media.  

Net neutrality says, “Okay, since you already paid x amount of money for the month, you don’t have to pay for each asset individually. Enjoy your internet.”  NO net neutrality means that your service provider (comcast, at&t, verizon, whatever it may be) gets to say “ACTUALLY, it lines our pockets so give us an extra $5.99 for Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. Oh, but that doesn’t include Tumblr; that comes with our premium package. That’ll be $5.99 on its own as well. Now about your Google docs and email… 

That’s why it’s important. That’s why I’m spamming Net Neutrality crap. If you’re using the internet, it’s YOUR problem.

And lastly, GET THIS TRENDING. It’s trending on Twitter but it needs to trend here too. This is everyone’s issue. 

This is something that is very important to pay attention to, and if you are an American I implore you to do everything that you can! Contact your representatives, research your ISPs, and keep a vigilant eye on this! The FCC is likely to make this ruling close to Thanksgiving in an attempt to squeak it by without anyone noticing.

Net neutrality is the reason why you can visit any website confidently. It’s why you don’t have to pay a premium to be able to access YouTube. It’s why you don’t have the internet bundled into different packages like TV is.

If they remove net neutrality protections, then there is no benefit to the consumer. Put simply, your ISP could choose to charge you more in order to visit specific sites, and not every town in the United States has the option to switch to a new ISP because some ISPs hold a monopoly in some areas.

They’re trying to fatigue public resistance by trying to repeal net neutrality as often as possible. We have to stay vigilant. Motivate yourself by assuming no one else is calling/writing. Don’t assume other people will do it.
