Fuckers thought to do a little trolling with how they mark their shift schedule. Even though Sunday is marked as empty the night shift will start at that day. Fuck that, I'm not going back there. Thanks for the mental breakdown and making me partially lose feeling on my pinky toes
Now I gotta worry if they're gonna pay for this week's work and if I'm gonna get any unemployment benefits for quitting after a single week.
Micro whipscorpions, order Palpigradi, class Arachnida
Palpigrades or micro whipscorpions are an order of arachnids found in wet tropical and subtropical soils throughout the world. They measure no more than 3mm in length and do not have eyes. Little is known about their behavior, but they are thought to be mainly predators of other minuscule arthropods, though one species was found to feed on cyanobacteria.

Random fact: Although jumping spiders can't move their eyes, they can move their retinas to change their field of view. It's as if they're looking through a window.
If the spider is clear enough, you can even see the retinas moving through the cephalothorax:

Phyllobates bicolor, or the black-legged poison frog, is a species of dart frog native to the Choco region of western Colombia. This is the second most toxic species of dart frog, second only to Phyllobates terribilis. They should not be underestimated, though; P. bicolor is one of the few dart frog species with confirmed human fatalities. Images by Esteban Alzate and Joern Koehler.
On Saturday, NASA's GOES-18 satellite captured this image of early-season fires raging out of control in Alberta, Canada. On the same day, the Canadian government declared a state of emergency for Alberta. Thousands of people have faced evacuation while the wildfires have burned approximately 1 million acres. Plus, smoke from the Alberta wildfires has swirled into the northeastern U.S. Image via CIRA at Colorado State and NOAA. Read about the wildfires.
I'm an evacuee from these wildfires. I was forced to leave my home eight days ago. My province is on fire. I'm fortunate in that I have family to stay with and that (so far) I haven't lost anything, but a lot of others have lost everything due to the fires.
In response to this crisis, the Government of Canada and the Government of Alberta are matching dollar for dollar every donation made to the Canadian Red Cross. If you're able to, please consider donating.
We're headed into a heat dome this weekend with high temperatures and strong winds, which are the conditions that started all of this in the first place. Pray the rain finds us.
