*NOTE: in this case, phobia refers to a very strong irrational fear, not being a little scared of something. if you can handle snakes but they make you nervous, that's not a phobia.

huge thank you to people reblogging and talking about their phobias in the tags. it's genuinely super nice to hear that im not alone in this and im not super irrational for being scared of things. <3

#i have really bad agoraphobia (being in wide open spaces) and zoophobia (animals). though mostly cynophobia (dogs)#my agoraphobia branched off from my zoophobia#the only animal i've seen in the past few years that i haven't been phobic of is cats but that's still in nervous territory#if i see a dog in real life i will have a full on breakdown 😭 i would like to have a dog of my own someday so i can grow comfortable#i used to live with someone with a dog actually. when i was 12#i was really freaked out at first when i found out#but after going completely stiff every time he entered the room with me i began to grow used to him#i started staying with him every chance i got and i loved him :)#i also technically have a less common phobia but that one's activated only by thinking about it which means ppl could take advantage of that#so i shall just mention there's a fourth
