what they mean: i dont know how to handle small animals and consider them lashing out in SELF DEFENSE an insult

Usually what it boils down to is “I’m mad because the cat didn’t act like a dog”.

Pushing fragile things off tables and breaking them: Self defense. 

Destroying Christmas Trees: Self defense, I mean the tree attacked them. 

Scratching their owner’s eyeball: Self defense. 

Scratching their sleeping owner’s face: Self defense. 

Jumping on their owner’s back and clawing into their spine: Self defense. 

Admittedly yeah 

A dog doesn’t do those things because a dog’s version of self defense is to be a good animal who loves you and doesn’t attack you unless you attack them first. 

I mean if a cat feels that threatened by everything in their owner’s household maybe the owner shouldn’t have gotten a cat. 

Pushing fragile things off tables and breaking them: Playing. Cats are well-known to like to play with small objects. Your cat does not know what “fragile” means and does not understand the distinction between toy and not-toy objects. Place fragile things out of a cat’s line of sight and reach, and if you don’t provide them with enough enrichment items that they go looking for them, that’s on you.

Destroying Christmas Trees: Cats like to climb things. They’re not doing it to spite you.

Scratching their owner’s eyeball: Probably an accident, due to overstimulation when playing. It wasn’t trying to hurt you. Don’t anthropomorphize animals by attributing spite to them. Animals don’t do spite the way that humans do.

Scratching their sleeping owner’s face: Trying to rouse you with its paw, probably gently, because it loves you and wants to play with you.

Jumping on their owner’s back and clawing into their spine: Come on. If a cat is jumping on you, it loves you and wants to be close to you. Digging in with its claws is how it balances itself on an unstable surface and is purely a reflexive reaction. It isn’t intending to hurt you.

99% of cat behavioral problems stem from bored cats. Cats need to climb, need to scratch, and need small objects to play with. I only recommend adopting cats in pairs, so that they can keep each other entertained. Cats are not purely solitary. They get lonely, and lonely cats act out. Once again, your entire problem with cats as a species seems to stem from the fact that you don’t understand how cats express affection and it upsets you that they don’t do so the way that dogs do. Cats aren’t small dogs and cannot be expected to behave as such.

The idea that cats are evil, and dogs are pure is so gross.   Cats are vilified, while dogs are treated like saints.  Fact is, a dog will bite, and attack if not trained.  I had a dog that LOVED to bite just when playing.   Dogs are not some perfect animal free of sin, and cats are not some evil creature out to kill you. They are just animals.  People need to stop assigning moral values to animals that just want to exist. 

I always wonder how much unfounded hatred of cats is linked to cats being a “woman’s animal” (”crazy cat lady”) and the unconditional love of dogs linked to them being a “man’s animal” (”man’s best friend).

For artists who have problems with perspective (furniture etc.) in indoor scenes like me - there’s an online programm called roomsketcher where you can design a house/roon and snap pictures of it using different perspectives.

It’s got an almost endless range of furniture, doors, windows, stairs etc and is easy to use. In addition to that, you don’t have to install anything and if you create an account (which is free) you can save and return to your houses.

I love how Hajime’s dumbassery is the main joke of komahina nowadays. Nagito being obsessive towards Hajime and a huge fucking stalker isn’t funny and isn’t anywhere near an accurate portrayal of him. Hajime not knowing basic geometry is hilarious and canon

Concept: Alya and Nino getting interrupted before they can kiss being similar to Juleka’s photo curse by the fact that misfortune strikes EVERY SINGLE TIME

- Alya’s sisters barging in unannounced happens on multiple occasions

- Carapace and Rena both trip and slide down opposite sides of a roof after Rena leans in to give him a lil’ smooch before departing

- Alya tries to give Nino a “thank you” kiss for something he did and nearly falls down the stairs

- A pigeon flies into Carapace’s face when he’s trying to give Rena a kiss goodbye

- They’ll be having a romantic afternoon in he park and the sprinklers turn on

- Nino trying to give Alya a “you did great!” peck on the cheek and getting destroyed by an onslaught of dodgeballs in P.E.

- Alya blows Nino a kiss from across the room and another student, seemingly out of nowhere, walks in between them; she tries a second time and it happens again

- Them listening to music together when the volume abruptly skyrockets moments before they kiss

- Nino and Alya chilling at a cafè when one of the patrons trips and dumps coffee into Nino’s lap

- Alya takes another shot at a “thank you” kiss on the cheek when a startled cat bolts between Nino’s legs and knocks him off balance

-Nino brings Alya back from a date and as they lean in to say goodbye, Nora suddenly BURSTS the door open with a “SO HOW’D IT GO-”

-They’ll be watching a cute romantic movie at his house and try to kiss the same time the protagonists do, only for Nino’s mom to suddenly come in through the front door with groceries, turning the lights on

-Them about to kiss in the locker room, the classic ideal place for making out and such, when a random kid late for PE throws the door open and scares the bajiblets out of them

-While they’re babysitting at a park, they’ll do some cute banter and lean in before Chris suddenly screams “EWW THAT’S DISGUSTING STOP-”

-the classmates noticing the pattern and slowly getting annoyed by it so they decide to create schemes to make the kiss finally happen

-Alya and Nino just casually talking in the hallway when Max and Kim suddenly push them both together. Kim shoved a bit too hard, however, and Nino ended up falling on top of Alya, but alas, no kiss

-the classmates deliberately hang a mistletoe above them during the class christmas party but once Alya and Nino shrug it off and lean in, Chloe suddenly and quite dramatically enters the room with her giant “EVERYONE LOOK AT ME” energy, and everyone gets distracted

-the kids are spying on djwifi as they’re on a date; Nino gives Alya some flowers, it’s all cute and adorable and they both lean in while the classmates are leaning forward in anticipation, then all of a sudden a dog comes running up, SNATCHES the flowers right out of their hands and knocks them off balance, running off as Nino’s now sitting dazed on the floor

-Kim, leaping out of their hiding place: OH COME ON-

the other classmates, dragging him back: kIM SHUT UP

     -Kim runs after the dog

-They’re standing by the pool and about to give a quick peck when all of a sudden Kim grabs Nino’s leg and drags him into the water as a funny prank, completely unaware of what was about to happen. Everyone was so mad at him lmao

- some things that tag along with ADHD are:

        ~sensory processing disorder

        ~executive dysfunction

        ~poor fine motor skills

        ~sensory overloads (that lead to meltdowns)

        ~sensory seeking (self stimming)

        ~hyperfixations

        ~moderate to severe memory problems

        ~Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria- is an extreme emotional sensitivity and emotional pain triggered by the perception that one is being rejected, teased, or criticized. The emotional response is complete with suicidal ideation and people suffering from RSD often get misdiagnosed with serious personality disorders. RSD is only seen in people with ADHD and the emotional sensitivity/reaction is much more severe than that of a neurotypical person.

✦Some other “fun” ADHD things! 

          ~inability to regulate emotions

          ~no concept of time

          ~noticeable public stimming (resulting in stares from neurotypicals) 

          ~no impulse control

- be respectful of those who actually need fidget toys so they can subtly stim in public 

- if we forget something you tell us it is not because we don’t care, we just have a million other thoughts racing through our mind and no way to filter through them. 

- please be gentle with us. no don’t tip toe around us and treat us like we aren’t human, but be aware that even offhand comments can trigger RSD. no we aren’t being too sensitive, our brains are wired differently than yours.
