When will you stop doing youtube?? I'm just asking because I need to be prepared😁 xx

D: i honestly have no plans (in life) (jk) (but really) to stop doing youtuber ever! you come to realise just how special youtube is. it’s a completely open platform for independant creativity where you are in complete control. there’s no one controlling what you do or say and that’s too precious to let go of! plus it’s based on the internet where all the people i actually want to talk to are so that helps. i don’t know what will change, but i can’t imagine what i’d do without youtube!

What would you WANT to be doing if YouTube didn't exist? Like, what would Dan study instead of Law? And would Phil study something different?

D: as shown in my college dropout video i think i would have inevitably had my law school breakdown even if i wasn’t doing youtube! (thank god i was?) the reason i dropped out was because i realised my heart wasn’t in it and to enjoy life i had to at least attempt to persue something i would truly love. i like to think without youtube it would have still been something creative! i wont think about this too hard lest i end up face down on tumblr’s nice wood flooring.

P: I think I’d still have done post-production! I actually got an offer to do Summer work experience at the place that edited the Dark Knight so I could have been a little credit in some of your favourite movies! 

when was the last recorded time that phil ate dan's cereal

D: it was the day of our final tour show in the uk. more than ever, that morning i needed delicious carby energy so i walked into the kitchen in my pj’s eaglerly awaiting my crunchy nut feast, to discover an empty box. i went into the living room to see phil in his muppets pyjamas eating the last of his chosen cereal. “what happened to my crunchy nut?!” i said to which he responded “oh sorry i was hungry in the middle of the night”. this heinous act of betrayal with no consideration is the reality of my life. help.

What time of day are you most creative?

P: Definitely the afternoon or evening! If I have a coffee and a giant cookie I’ll think of some great ideas. Don’t even talk to me before I’ve had my breakfast…

Dan are you worried that this Q&A will ruin your tumblr aesthetic?

D: side note - by far the toughest thing about being on tour was the slow hotel internet. you know when you have internet enough to load facebook and emails but is just too slow to load .gifs? that’s true cruelty. so unfortunately i couldn’t reblog a lot on the road which means my beautiful aesthetic shitposting has been buried under a pile of youtube videos. loading up my queue is a priority when i’m home.

Is your traditional signature actually your signature or is it just a short staged one for m&g's ?

D: this is totally my ‘staged’ one i don’t think they’d allow a colon on any official forms. when i was an edgy 13 year old i (not lying rn) used to dot my i’s with pentagrams and i wrote it on my passport and my mum was furious with me.

Do you colect anything ??

P: I collected rocks as a kid?! I even had a magazine subscription called ‘treasures of the earth’ so I could collect shiny rocks. 💎#cooldude

I bet you two are mega jet-lagged right about now. How are you coping?

P: This is actually the great kind of jet-lag that makes you wide awake at 7am so I’m like an actual member of society! I woke up and ate a giant waffle so i’m still buzzing off maple syrup.

Have you ever thought about getting a dog together?

D: I KNOW WE JOKE but for real i struggle to look after myself never mind an animal. plus i’m still mildly traumatised from the story of my hamster (plug) in terms of keeping pets at all. who knows though, maybe getting a dog i’d have to walk would force me to exercise?

P: One day I want a dog for sure! I’d want a corgi or a pug or a shibe or maybe a robo dog when they’re relased by apple.

What are your favourite childhood memories?

P: Going to Florida for the first time with my family! They say you will never forget your first American pancake. Also making horror movies with my friends!

Would either of you ever get a tattoo?

P: When we made the Punk Edits IRL video I thought they’d look stupid on me but the neck dragon was actually pretty cool

D: i think tattoos are awesome but i just can’t imagine what i’d get on myself! it’s just such a commitment?! what one thing am i so passionate about i want it on my body forever?? ide

What was the most catastrophic incident you guys caused at your apartment?

P: Probably when I almost burned the house down by lighting our gas fire with a plushie of calcifer from ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ sat on top of it! RIP

Would you ever move outside of London? If so where?

P: I actually love New York! It’s quite similar to London but slightly stretched upwards. Brighton is quite chilled out so I like it there! Or I’d definitely live in Japan for a few months.

why hasn't your Tumblr layout been updated in 89 years

D: i actually made my theme myself by just copying the page code of a friends’ and pasting in all the things i wanted to add. it’s a complete trainwreck i know. updating it for 2016 is a top personal goal for me.
