Since then, the official death toll of the freeze sits at 210, while Buzzfeed reported in May that the true count is likely much higher— around 700. It also caused one of the worst mass carbon monoxide poisonings in recent US history.

I have very little faith that Governor Abbott has done “all that needs to be done” to protect the grid and it’s weighing on me as we get closer to winter.

a rush of tenderness

I really love how casual Yami and Yugi are at the start of S5. They're not shy about talking to each other in public, they've sent each other sly looks and Yami plays a prank. But it's also delightful how frequently they check in with each other too, from travel plans to deja vu.

Part of me is glad that Atem took the puzzle with him. It’s no longer a prison for his soul, but has rather taken on a new meaning, full of memories with Yugi during their brief time together. He’ll probably treasure it just like Yugi did, if not more.

I originally did two versions of this and ended up liking both…here’s the second one. On another note, I’ve been rereading the manga and…pre duel monsters Yugi looks absolutely adorable in Takahashi’s not-yet-settled style haha
