The Sovereign's Ring is an 18+ dark fantasy game filled with drama and romance.
When the Empress dies without issue, you play as the youngest out of four possible successors to the throne.
Civil war is on the horizon. The other successors will stake their claim- but you’re the one who’s in possession of the Imperial Signet Ring, the sole symbol of the Sovereign’s authority and a relic of great mystery.
Choose your loyalties. Build relationships- or don’t. Tear them apart. Sabotage your rivals and pave the path to the throne for yourself. The choice is yours to make.
There are no right or wrong choices- only consequences.

Steam/book 2/General Update
I am so excited to announce that the Steam Keys for Kickstarter will be sent out in the next few days. What does that mean? It means that we have a Steam release date for the public!!! Expect it to be out for purchase, September 3rd! (barring any terrible code breaks because I am so freaking nervous there is going to just be a blue screen of death for some reason).
I am also excited to announce that the Introduction to book 2 is in beta right now. And Chapter One is being written. Book 2 will follow much the same format as book 1. With the chapters being released to the public for free on itch.io. Early access will be available on my Patreon. I will make an announcement when that is available but the intro will just be released to everyone immediately.
Along with that, keep on the lookout for another story brewing. More on that in the next week or so. But Fall is almost here and with it, so many creative endeavors to get us through the winter.
I am looking forward to hearing from you all again and crafting yet another tale.

It can be somewhat disheartening when you the artisans and craftsman of yesteryear who created miracles out of limited technology go forgotten. Always nice to see someone somewhere making tributes to them.
Injuries For Your Characters To Receive When You’re In The Mood For Angst (And How To Treat Them.)
A: A bite wound. (Wash the wound with soap and water, then cover the area with a bandage. Afterward your character will need medical care from a doctor to make sure that they aren’t going to get rabies or an infected bite area.)
B: A sprained wrist. (Your character should ice the area and avoid activities that cause pain. It’s also important to compress the area with bandages (But not so much that it cuts off circulation!) and keep it elevated.)
C: A stab wound to the stomach. (This is an emergency room visit because abdomens have a lot of vital organs. Just straight to the ER.)
D: A concussion. (A concussion is brain trauma so your character really should be checked out by someone at the ER. Afterward they should take it mentally easy and possibly take pills for pain.)
E: A black eye. (An ice pack on the swollen area should help.)
F: A broken ankle. (Your character will probably need to go to the Doctor to get their leg splinted. After leaving the hospital they’ll need to take it easy on their foot until it’s healed.)

HANSOL
Hansol has a strong build with wide shoulders and a narrow waist, paired with long, muscular legs. His complexion is warm toned and tanned, and shine like honey under the sun. Standing at 186cm, he tends to tower over most other Haeians. He has a strong, square jaw, deep brown eyes and a dimple at his left cheek. His nose is a little crooked from where it's been broken in martial training before. His dark brown hair falls below his shoulders and is always tied up in a neat ponytail with a red ribbon. Most of the time, he's seen wearing his Samjogo uniform. He sometimes wears a red headband to keep sweat and hair from getting into his eyes. When off duty, he dresses in pine green robes that complements his skin tone nicely.
YONGSUN
Yongsun is of average height and has a lithe, graceful build. They have sharp, delicate facial features with dark eyes and a fair complexion, and have been noted to possess an ethereal beauty by those who have laid eyes on them. f!Yongsun stands at 163cm while m!yongsun is 170cm. f!Yongsun also tends to wear her black hair swept back in a low bun, held in place by a few ornate hairpins made of gold or jade. m!Yongsun keeps his hair long and done into a loose braid that falls down one shoulder, a style quite atypical of Haeian males, as well as a pair of taselled gold earrings. Both wear a black inner robe with a loose overcoat that is often decorated with detailed embroidery. They tend to favour various shades of purple, from mauve to deep wine. When attending ceremonial functions, however, they dress in formal white robes with many layers, embroidered with golden dragons.
WOOYOUNG
Wooyoung is an average height of 173cm and has a more compact and lean build compared to his cousin. He has chestnut brown eyes and a sharp jawline with fuller lips. His skin is also warmed toned, although not as tanned. His hair is cut short to just touching the tops of his shoulders, and is usually put up in a short ponytail or a messy half ponytail with some bangs falling into his eyes. There's a slight waviness to his hair, which is a deep brown shade as well. He has a beauty mark under his right eye. He wears azure blue robes, but favours more casual silhouettes compared to the more formal styles that most nobles prefer. At his hip hangs a beautiful sword and a scabbard that is decorated with gold embossment and mother of pearl. Wooyoung never lets it stray from his person.
RAON
Raon has a slight and skinny stature, and is short with a height of about 158cm. Her skin is a little more cool toned, and naturally darker than most Haeians. Her hair is long and black, and is often put up in a messy bun or a long braid without ornament or decoration. There are often dark shadows under her eyes regardless of how much sleep she gets. She is often seen wearing cool coloured robes with faded splatters on them.

The villain, or anti-hero, whatever you want to call them, Mars is an enigmatic figure; the very concept of life seems to hold no value to them. A trail of bodies follows wherever they go, and on the news, they are regarded as the biggest menace of the century. They will have the unique ability to sway your loyalty. Beware, their sweet words and promises may drip with honey, but they also drip with the blood of their victims.

Zev/Zena Hammer
The oldest of the bunch and not a metahuman per se. Hammer acts as the spokesperson for the team, mitigating the often tenuous relationship between humans and the so-called "mutants". As a retired police detective they've learned firsthand how rotten the world can be for the innocent, and they've vowed to protect them at any cost. Their analytical and communication skills will go hand in hand when dealing with various crimes, just as their implants.

Adam/Ava Armstrong
The current leader of the Alliance Team. Headstrong and dauntless, they are regarded as the strongest metahuman in modern times and the most enigmatic of them all, whose past is shrouded in mystery and unknown even to their closest friends. On the outside, they might seem apathetic and unconcerned with human suffering, but their true feelings are hidden beneath layers of deep trauma. Superhuman strength and invulnerability are their greatest assets when fighting villains.

Edward/Evelyn Osborne
The former leader of the Alliance Team and Archon's best friend. On the surface, they are the stereotypical showboat: cocky, greedy, and egoistical. Stardom does whatever they can to gain attention, fame, and riches. For them, the best feeling in the world is an adoring fan and a beautiful person fawning over their heroics. The meta-gene gives them a genius-level intellect, which in turn is used to develop several pieces of equipment that are employed by themselves and the team during fights.
Trope: Billionaire, belated love epiphany, good-people-have-good-sex
Johnny/Johnnie
If Archon's past is shrouded in mystery, Paladin's is drowned in it. For all you know, their name is not even Johnny/Johnnie but an alias of their choosing. They are known to be the silent loner type and are somewhat socially withdrawn from other members of the team, only speaking when called upon to do so. Behind their silver mask, they harbor more than a few inner demons, and together with their superhuman weapon and combat proficiency, they fight for the innocent.
Trope: Secret identity, oblivious to love, weapon-fetishization
Pedro/Pilar Flores
The youngest of the team, considered by many a lighthearted jokester without any real talent beyond their obvious powers—which set them apart from every human that walks the earth. With their metahuman status so evident for everyone to see, hiding just didn't seem like an option, so they chose the next best alternative. Known to be playful, energetic, and often immature, they are responsible for balancing the team's more serious side, and when someone can take the form of any living being on Earth, the repertoire of pranks is endless.

Doctor Malik/Malika Aziz
The renowned Doctor Aziz, a famed archaeologist and considered to be the most powerful sorcerer, or magic user, in the world. They wear several enchanted artifacts that, in turn, accentuate their already tremendous knowledge of the mystical forces. With an extremely strong moral compass and kind demeanor, they will show themselves to be the best teacher you could ask for, but why do they seem to be everywhere you look?
