Shiiiiit. I reblogged, and I got $750 in two days for basically nothing! The first day this client/POT asked my agent to invite some girls and I to his end. man call me crazy or whatever but i'm not very thrilled with the fact that the takeaway that all of y'all are getting from the titanic submarine crisis happening right now is

I can assure you that the “they deserved it” take is not as unnuanced and compassionless as it has been framed here.

In times like these, you cannot overlook the fact that nobody becomes a billionaire without undervaluing the lives of those who created their wealth. That 250,000 (spent on an experience that nobody ever needed) is the difference between workers surviving and thriving. It is stolen wages, quality of life and time. It is sometimes the difference between life and death - just think of all of the people who delay medical treatment due to its cost.

I can promise you that every billionaire has played a part in making sure that this lack of regulation could occur. And I can promise that every billionaire has (directly or indirectly) chosen profit over the lives and safety of others. They are not the helpless victims of predatory business tactics - up until now they have been their beneficiaries.

So yeah. Even if you don’t think anyone deserves this fate (fair enough), you can’t overlook how billionaires built and maintain the system in which this could happen.
