I honestly think people forget that the church and state are supposed to be separate. Give me one non-religious reason against same sex marriage. One non-religious reason against stem cell research. One non-religious reason against safe abortions. Go ahead.

I’ve been saying this for YEARS.

Academic me: you have so much to do you have a test and ten things due tomorrow you must snap out of it and do your fucking schoolwork
Anxiety me: I know I know I have to I must what should I do I just can't I want to cry I want to sleep I want to hide
Depression me: this is too much why are we all still fucking here
boy: send nudes? ;)
me: *sends a picture of stars*
boy: um wtf is this?
me: its me. its us. its humanity, stripped. this is our true nakedness- we are painted with stars and consumed by the cosmos, only to come back again brighter than before. my heart is the sun and my soul is the void.

But then again, maybe bad things happen because it’s the only way we can keep remembering what good is supposed to look like

this is what i always think about. literally my life

I’ve never really believed in forever because, after all, nothing really lasts. The concept of forever seems to be an illusion that is created to mask the fact that everyone has an expiration date. I mean we’re taught ever since the days of sidewalk chalk and jump rope that anything is possible. They tell us to dream big and shoot for the stars because if you really put your mind to it you can become what some people devote their entire lives trying to be. You can be extraordinary. This logic has been drilled into our minds since the moment of conception, and that’s exactly why so many dreams are crushed when you’re forced to take the bitter bite of reality and grow up.

The first paragraph in my book.

The void
