It’s that time of year again. James Stewart and Donna Reed (and Thomas Mitchell and Beulah Bondi) in It’s a Wonderful Life  (Frank Capra, 1946). The film received mixed reviews when it was first released and lost money at the box office. When it passed out of copyright protection and into the public domain in the 1960′s, television stations chose it as Christmas season entertainment that cost them practically nothing. The viewing public fell in love with the film, and that’s how It’s a Wonderful Life became a classic..

"And it was one of the most painful things in this world." he said. "When all you ever need is to move forward..." he sighed heavily before he continued, "...but you don't even want to take a stand."

I should not. // ma.c.a
