it was a rainy afternoon, with winds blowing cold air

you laid close to me as i ran my fingers through your hair

we got under the blankets because the lights were too bright

you said you were sad and i said it was alright

as we laid there i realized that i was hopelessly in love with you

it truly killed me to see you so blue

the day quickly turned to night and we were still laying in bed

not much was done that day, not much was said

to some the day would seem wasted

but to me it was perfect because your lips i had tasted

when i arrived home, i was truly upset
