Keyv lives for Percico

@percico-sea-of-darkness

https://instagram.com/percico_sea_of_darkness "I'm the Son of Hades," Nico growls. "Remember, creature of the Underworld. I command you!"
"How Did I Fall In Love With Percico?"

I must admit that the battle was intense.

When I first joined the world of Percy Jackson in 2015, I had no idea what I was getting into.

Actually, I had no idea of anything... anything at all.

Only one thing was clear.

Nico di Angelo.

Excuse the language in the image, but I was talking to the super famous new AI called "ChatGPT" and it occurred to me to ask it what it thought of Percy Jackson and Nico di Angelo's relationship. I was REALLY surprised by its level of knowledge.

"The relationship between Percy and Nico is one of the most interesting and exciting in the series. The two characters have very different personalities, but they learn to appreciate and respect each other's differences as they get to know each other better."

Here is the full english translation:

The relationship between Percy Jackson and Nico di Angelo is interesting and complex in the book series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" and its sequel, "The Heroes of Olympus." Throughout the story, you see how these two characters go from having a tense relationship to developing a solid friendship.
At first, Nico doesn't seem to have much confidence in Percy and the other main characters in the group. Furthermore, he has his own secrets and motivations, which make him appear aloof and reserved. However, as the plot develops, more details about his past and feelings are revealed, making his character deeper and more complex.
Percy, for his part, cares for Nico and tries to help him throughout the story, even when Nico seems to reject his help. As the two characters interact more, their relationship is seen to grow closer and they begin to trust each other more.
In my opinion, the relationship between Percy and Nico is one of the most interesting and exciting in the series. The two characters have very different personalities, but they learn to appreciate and respect each other's differences as they get to know each other better.
In addition, the evolution of their relationship shows how friendship can overcome differences and how the support of friends can be very essential in difficult times.

I know that it is an AI, and that its information can be wrong in certain occasions, as I verified when I read that ChatGPT thinks that Trunks Briefs and Pan Son are cousins (which, they don't), but the AI definitely portrayed the Percico relationship very well, maybe not perfectly deepened, but, hey, it's an AI, it's just awesome, so, in my stupefaction was internally screaming with excitement.

It kind of sucks when you want to support an artist, but not being from the U.S. means commissioning art would take away up to half my monthly paycheck, which leaves their patreon... too bad most artists I would commission who use it mostly post Genshin and MHA in there, which I'm not into.

Maybe we'll get lucky and this Valentine's Day, Rick will send Nico and Percy back to Venice.

They'll be "gift shopping for Annabeth" and something will catch Nico's eye but he won't say anything. Then, outside the shop, in the snow and the quiet, Percy will drop something in Nico's hand it will be the trinket Nico was eyeing. He'll say something stupid like "Funny how it was snowing when we met and it's snowing now. That seems so long ago. I'm so glad that I know you, Nico. You mean so much to me."

And Rick will forget to add the 'platonically' because Percy already said that gifts mean nothing compared to a great relationship while looking into Nico's eyes on the streets of Venice.

So Nico - who has already told Percy while they were 'Christmas shopping for Annabeth' that Italians do it better - will be like, "Percy, you're the most important person in my life and being with you makes me happy in a way no one else does. I am great at riding dick btw."

And Percy will laugh fondly then say something like "I wonder what we're going to do for the rest of the day." He'll take Nico's arm in his with a smitten smile, then they'll dissolve into shadows (fade to black).

Finally, Rick will tag it: #Perc@bethValentines

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

I couldn't remember the word "doorknob" ten minutes ago.

REBLOG TO SAVE A WRITER'S LIFE

Every time I listen to this lecture of Guillermo, I shudder as I think of Nico di Angelo. The meaning of these words is simply sublime.

"No one loves life more than we do in a way, because we are so conscious about death. So the preciousness of life standing side to side to the one place we're all going through... let's say, everybody in this planet boarded a train that was final destination: death. So, the drain, we're gonna live. We're gonna have beauty and love and freedom. And I think that when you eliminate one of the two sides from the equation it's a pamphlet. But when you take in account the dark to tell the light, is reality."

What would you think percico would be like if their ages were reversed. A 10 years old Percy meeting an older Nico 🤔

That would be interesting for many reasons. Like, let's say that Nico is taken out of the Lotus earlier, so Grover, Annabeth, etc are all 2 and a half years younger than Nico. Bianca, for one reason or another, is not a factor (died or joined Artemis).

I don't think Nico would stick around camp, because son of Hades and all that. So I imagine they would meet when Percy is attacked by Alecto. Percy just sees this cool teenager (only 13) appear out of nowhere and banish his monstrous math teacher with a hand wave, and then disappear, and he's never been more wowed in his life.

When he eventually gets to camp he tries asking everyone about the cool guy who saved him at the museum, but people either don't know about him or just don't like talking about the deserter, and even think he's behind the theft of the Master Bolt.

Nico for his part resents the gods, but he loves demigods, so he's almost like a vigilante saving the ones that go on quests. Zeus and Poseidon hope he dies before turning 16, and put all their hopes on Percy, the "loyal" child of the Big 3.

This paints their relationship for the next 3 years. Nico is like Percy's Tuxedo Mask, helping him out when he least expects it, while Percy admires Nico and thinks it's unfair how the gods treat him, and the constant help turns that admiration into infatuation.

Nico, for his part, is fond of Percy. He's not used to people standing up for him, but sees him as a little kid and doesn't notice Percy's down bad for him, due to his 30s upbringing.

After Kronos is defeated, Nico is given his own cabin, and Percy tries hard to make Nico see how "grown-up" he is ("I turn 14 this summer!"), but Nico doesn't quite get it yet ("Congrats Percy, I hope you are one of the demigods that live long lives.").

Maybe some day he'll understand, but for now, his fondness for Percy grows steadily, even if he can't quite recognize what it means due to still thinking of him as a child.

Epiphany - Percy Jackson

(Caution: mental problems such as depression and chronic stress are discussed briefly)

I apologize for writing it. But I've been reflecting on this for over a year and today was a somewhat unusual day that made me think about the traumas! :D (I swear that after this I will try to upload happier things, but all this was written by my hands without permission) (Even, If you want, don't read it. I'm very embarrassed :') )

Honestly, why I don't like Rick Riordan's most popular canon ships? Regardless that the fandom sucks.

Look, there are people who don't know that the relationships between the characters we read about in the books can also trigger certain kinds of 'anxieties' and unpleasant memories. It's not just to contradict the writer.
