Strawberry Pepper

@pepperstrawberry / pepperstrawberry.tumblr.com

My name is Anita Priscilla Barton, but please, call me Pepper. X3. I'm a trans woman. Coming out, and being beautiful... someday. She/her if you please.https://ko-fi.com/pepperapb (stupid thing won't allow me to make those proper links at the moment... will look into it later. just copy past into another tab for now ^_^; )

As someone who's from California (from socal) who saw yellow sky due to wildfires from few years back, here's the post for New Yorkers or other people from East coast

Akane just lifting and running with a fridge like no biggie

Often I waffle on the idea of putting Ranma, Ryoga, and/or Akane tossing small cars around and...

Its canon silly like this that helps bolster that idea (I mean, she isn’t even the strongest on the cast XD yeah a small car is heavier then a fridge, but still, you get the idea)

Currently working on my Boarding Patrol. Having a bit of fun with the bases. Sure the Void bases already have details on them, but the sprues do come with extras. X3

The second shot, I found, when building the team on thr app, I had just enough points for an extra basic team of SoB, so I needed one more Superior. Happen to have the combat patrol sprues, and built her. But, like the Canoness, she was going to be standing on something that felt a bit out of place. So clipped off the bricks and added the slightly crushed tech box.

Its the small things that make me happy. X3

Slow going, but there is progress...

beginning and end

THEY WERE MISSING FOR FUCKING YEARS OMG, THIS ALWAYS UPSETS ME SO MUCH

I always see the discussion that many days, months, years have passed during this story.

I present to you a different idea.

There’s several themes behind Spirited Away: Capitalism’s effect on Japan, Environmental issues, and notably, Chihiro’s coming of age story.

From what I know, the idea of time passing differently in spirit worlds, is more based on western stories of the fae.

But something more common in Japanese folklore is spirit trickery/deception. Or more accurately. What you see, isn’t always what’s actually there.  Chihiro starts this story as a young child, before her coming-of-age arc, that more or less forces her to become ‘an adult’. More accurately. The challenges she faces makes her mature as a person. What’s the most common thing in folklore? Children see what’s actually there.

reblogging for that different idea which makes a lot of sense.

I thought this interpretation was the clear one. I didn’t know that people actually thought the family had been in the Spirit World for years.

This makes way more sense considering that the wall at the beginning and the one peeking out between the leaves at the end don’t look at all similar. Even age can’t turn smooth red brick into large gray-brown cobbles.

I didn’t know you got into warhammer! How long have you been at it?

I bought the first issue of the 'Imperium' mag February or so of last year.

And then I decided to get the whole subscription... Which broke the ice for me buying kits and now....

I have learned what a 'shame pile' is...

I am very normal and not at all emotional about finding out that, even after 1200 years and in spite of everything, Alesha is remembered as a hero and remains part of the cultural fiber of her clan. That she's such a fundamentally important figure to trans people in her culture that, even after all this time, other trans people still go out of their way associate themselves with her. Yes. Very normal.

"So, Pepper, what are you up to these days?"

Slowly working through my 40k pile...

Today?

Finally got some purple primer and gave it a whirl.

A bit rusty on my Zen-dry approach, but pretty happy with the results just the same.

First two are Black base, Purple Zenithal, light purple dry brush.

Second two I added a second dry layer with pure white

i want a live action movie that’s just two hours of this

I love this version of Clark so much

Clark is a sarcastic little shit who has weaponized big city folk’s perception of him as a harmless back country mama’s boy as Clark and takes full advantage of both the “mysterious alien” angle and the “lawful good boyscout” angle of the public’s perception as Kal El. Ma and Pa Kent raised a man who knows how to radiate honesty while subverting the truth for his own protection and is smart enough to play off of everyone’s expectations. Clark is a world class manipulator who can read a room perfectly and knows how to convince everyone he’s totally clueless while getting them to do exactly what he wants. THERE IS A REASON HE AND PEOPLE-SOMEHOW-THINK-I’M-A-STOIC-LONER-DESPITE-MY-RIDICULOUS-SENSE-OF-HUMOR-AND-BROOD-OF-ADOPTEES-BRUCE ARE SUCH GOOD FRIENDS. People want to read “good and wholesome” as being mutually exclusive from “clever and fun” and those people write boring or awful Superman stories.

Yup! Brilliant Clark analysis here!
