• Brian insisting they don’t need a fucking Christmas tree but Justin giving him that look and then acquiescing to a small, tasteful tree, which somehow turns into a grand evergreen that they spend an entire day decorating (tastefully!)
• Brian and Justin baking gingerbread men and then starting to use them to pantomime sex acts and then getting inspired to have sexy times themselves (complete with licking the frosting off each other).
• Brian buying Justin a stylish coat, gloves, and hat every year because he always gets cold.
• Brian constantly coming home to Justin singing Christmas carols and not even bothering trying to hide his smile anymore.
• Justin designing a kickass Christmas card every year for them that puts all others to shame.
• Brian and Justin saying that they don’t want to spoil Gus and will only get him a few presents and going overboard every single year because every growing boy NEEDS an eight-foot-tall plush giraffe.
• Brian and Justin staying up late with Lindsay and Melanie playing Santa, stuffing stockings, piling presents under the tree, and leaving a letter from Santa to the kids.
• Brian and Justin exchanging stockings filled with sex toys.
• Brian and Justin cozying up together and sticking bows and tying ribbons around each other all while unwrapping presents with their beautiful makeshift family, laughing all the while, but every so often getting lost in their own private world, even amidst the chaos, where they look at each other with so much love in their eyes that others can’t help but stop to look.
• Brian insisting he doesn’t need poisonous berries to tell him when to kiss but still taking full advantage of the mistletoe anyway.
• Brian making a big show of not eating any sweets but Justin knowing better and always having a plate of cookies nearby that mysteriously always disappear in just a few minutes.
• After a long day, curling up on the couch, Justin leaning against Brian and sketching the scene before them, Brian idly stroking Justin’s hair, every so often exchanging soft looks and tender kisses as they thank their lucky stars to have received the best gift they ever could have imagined. <333
