burning food is an inherited trait

As someone’s whose family has been wrecked due to colonization and trauma, I will say that this diary is about how some of my colonized ancestors would see me as I navigate the world looking for them, and as I learn to treat myself and the world around me with more kindness.

More generally, I guess, you are a blessing to every people worried they wouldn’t survive. You, in all your flaws and trauma, are alive.

If you reach with love, the ancestors with love to give will reach back.

transformation, rebirth, the self, the ego, mourning, yearning, bla bla bla i’ve written and drawn so much about it and not sure what to do with all of it. it feels like i’ve died several times in the last 2 years and i will continue to over and over again until i’m brand new
