I'm a bit nervous about it, but I figured I'd finally make a somewhat proper post about this: I've decided to take requests!

If you're interested, please read over this list first!

Status: Closed for Requests!

- I have the right to deny/not write a request for any reason!

- Things I will not write are the usual gross suspects.

- I also will not write: OCxCanon, second person, self-insert or Y/N, or things of that nature. It's simply not for me.

- Please try to keep requests reasonable.

- I prefer requests to be as open-ended as possible to allow for creative freedom (Ex. Single word prompts, a theme and/or trope, a bare bones plot, etc), but I don't mind very specific ones from time to time.

- Please don't spam requests either!

- If you want me to try writing for something I haven't written a fic for in the past, just ask! The worst I can say is I don't know the series/know it well enough to do it justice or just simply no uwu

- Requests will be done in my own free time; so please be patient if you request something!

- Overall length of requests will vary! I try to aim for a bare minimum of ~500 words, but that can also fluctuate.

- Finished requests may end up on my AO3.

- Examples of my writing can be found here on my tumblr tagged with "PastelRaccoon Writes" or on my AO3.

- If you want to see the stuff I've written specifically for requests, they'll be tagged with "PastelRaccoon Requests"

- If there is something else you're unsure of, please, ask! Both my ask box and my DMs are open for questions!

I think a corollary to this is I don't want my fandom experiences to be unique, I want them to be sincere

That's why I enjoy reading the same tropes over and over again. Those authors are writing those stories from a genuine love of both the tropes and the characters.

It's why I enjoy 17 gif sets about the same 3-second interaction on screen. Each one of those sets was pulled and recoloured and captioned and adjusted because each one of those gif makers wanted to capture that moment and celebrate it.

It's why every "I'm glad you enjoyed it" reply makes me smile when I get one on a comment I left. Because I know replying to comments is hard and kind of awkward, but I also know that the author really *is* glad and I'm happy that I could let them know I enjoyed their work.

I love things that are new, sure. But I also love things that have been done a million times already because I know the person doing it loves that thing too. I love the love they're showing. I love the genuine joy and celebration and community it fills me with.

btw if we're mutuals i automatically think ur cooler than me. doesnt matter if we have been mutuals for 2 minutes or 3 years, if we are following each other u are cooler than me by default <3
