my hobbies? uhh.. peeling back the layers…. uncovering metaphors.. mirroring…..connecting dots…..stuff like that
some of yall use "amab" and "afab" as like, a woke substitute for "male" and "female" and its real weird. agab terminology is useful for talking about like, your personal life experiences and very specifically medical and legal problems you might run into. if you use it to describe a stranger then you're just going back to gender essentialism in a new hat. and implying you can clock everyone, to boot.
We need everyone's help right now to protect the rainforest and Indigenous People
The Amazon Rainforest is under a massive threat. I know you've heard this a million times, but this is different. There is a piece of legislation that will decimate the rights of Indigenous people of Brazil, who have been protecting the rainforest. It's unfathomably bad. It has majority support. And they're voting tomorrow. As reported here, the Bill allows "the Brazilian government to find energy resources, set up military bases, develop strategic roads, and implement commercial agriculture on protected Indigenous tribal lands, without any prior discussion with the affected peoples."
The thing you can do—and I know this sounds overly simple—is sign this petition—and tell your friends to do the same: SIGN HERE.
As reported here, the Bill allows "the Brazilian government to find energy resources, set up military bases, develop strategic roads, and implement commercial agriculture on protected Indigenous tribal lands, without any prior discussion with the affected peoples."
Again, this bill has majority support. You may be wondering, why will a petition signed by people who don't live in Brazil make any difference? Because it will give those opposing it political air cover. It will show the world is with them.
But we need a LOT of signatures.
Please do this simple act and spread the word.
so many algorithms webbed sites youtube channels etc all centred around Recommendations but rlly the only ways (in my 24 years of experience anyway) to find what u like for real is 1. thru word of mouf and 2. just giving things a try and either you like it or you don't. like there's so much choice thanks to streaming services and piracy and u can easily get overwhelmed but to find the real real shit u kind of just have to open urself to possibilities and give everything a chance. all of this just to say: fuck booktubers lol
People really learn new words and - just like kids - use them for everything even if it has nothing to do with the meaning of the word.
TERF isn’t meant to be “someone who disagreed with me”. Y’all misusing this word so much that people will simply not believe you whenever there’s an actual terf. You’re not helping the trans community at all by throwing this word around for anything, you’re actually only contributing for more transphobia and only using trans people as a weapon to win arguments.
Y’all just heard about the word “fascist” without having any idea what it means and love to misuse that word for anyone who disagrees with you.
It isn’t a surprise y’all who do that don’t actually go outside.
And not every transphobe is a terf.
Very important to know this too ^^
Love you guys it's ok to be lonely and sort of feel like you're in your loser era lol the ups and downs are proof we are alive and not just coasting
the show (going out to get groceries. making myself a nice dinner. showering and opening the windows. being kind to myself in everything i do) Must go on
wow i forgot how annoying it is to have ppl that know nothing about politics in asia writing essays on my posts about it ppl r saying "i hope there's some leftist organizations in japan from what i've seen the ppl seem mostly apolitical" like there isn't evidence of massive japanese socialist movements in the very post they r tagging there's been a huge political difference between the japanese state and the people for decades especially during their period of being an active empire before ww2. the solidarity between korean revolutionaries and japanese traitors of the state was so important historically of course there's been consistent communist organizing in japan in this 40 year fascist stronghold they've had and the population in general r aware of the problems of their state especially the poor or ethnic or otherwise minorities they're the ones being killed by the fascist state. if u don't see it it's because u haven't looked into it!
and this goes double for south korea obviously. people tagging my post as "don't forget south korea is a conservative country too!" like literally fuck off the ROK state is a U.S. neocolony and the ruling class are basically all descendants of japanese collaborators during the colonial era the people have been actively organizing and protesting to stop being killed by the hypercapitalist hypermilitarized colonial system this entire time especially when it comes to US military presence on the peninsula this is all obvious information like OBVIOUSLY the state and the people don't have the same intentions ur only counting the ruling class as people because that's what the state wants you to see!!
lesbians will be minding our own business and somebody who can't go two sentences without using a slur will be like "ok but you can have sex with men remember it's valid to fuck men you're allowed to be intimate with men don't forget"
Notice how they always let it show that they passionately believe that the only reason we don't fuck men is because we foolishly think we're somehow not allowed to?
Not that we chose to identify with lesbianism because it fit our already existing mode of desire, but that someone (ourselves or a third party) imposed lesbianism on us and now every time we find a man hot (which we Must do, RIGHT? Every woman* does, RIGHT?) we have to repeat some horniness-pacifying mantra until we distract ourselves from the feeling and it passes.
No way we could ACTUALLY just never get that feeling for a man. We're just going out of our way to repress it.
*Yeah, yeah, we're not all "women" in the binary sense of the word, but that's our assumed gender and/or political position in society.
happy pride month!!! it's also indigenous history month here in canada. i'm a two-spirit youth support worker whos been struggling financially the last few months, and have just barely been able to cover my basic needs. i'm also looking to getting a car soon and need help with savings, as a car would give me a lot of new opportunities for employment + help me in becoming more self-sufficient. if anyone wants to help out a disabled two-spirit wo/man this pride month or give reparations to a first nations person whos been struggling due to generational trauma & canadian racial inequality this indigenous history month, my p-yp-l is linked below. reblogs would help out too! thanks!
like it's so fucking stupid how some extremely online individuals on here and twitter too have created this kind of hierarchy in their heads where the more visibly gay you are the more privilege you have because other ppl can tell that you're gay immediately and to them that's better than "not looking gay" because then you're more likely to be mistaken for a straight person by strangers and apparently that's the worst thing that can happen, worser than being the victim of a homophobic assault apparently which is more likely to happen to someone who is visibly gay (a butch lesbian for example)
